sorry 8 - 9 week scroll to 2:20 in the vid,, and this is the reason why people get miss lead into believing that its the bomb ,, does it grow of course it grows tick 500 watts of CFLS in a room plants will grow lol ,, but anyone can clearly see plants are tall and stretched and of course your going to get stretch in pre flowering even more ..

Well if he pulls 4.5# out of that tent I will be impressed and consider trying LED on a small scale. 4x8 should be 4# minimum

You sir don't know what I'm doing and I won't tell you, I'll just show you to understand. Technically my plants are only 21 days into 12/12 light and as for 4.75lbs I call liesand what strain are you using to get 4.75lbs on 4 plants? I might have been born at night but not last night.

Sad part about this whole thing is I'm only running 744watts in a 4x8 tent I could turn it up to 1600+ watts but I just seeing what it can do at lower wattage for the summer. Winter is gonna be full power goal is 1lb per 400watts of led

That's the part they just will not understand. I can't tell if that darth guy is trying to troll with his "your thing sucks, but to each his own" attitude. Maybe he really is just too thick to realize how that comes off. You can not do that with 744W of cfl.
Edit: I can understand the skepticism, but Realstyle's lamps in paricular aren't even growlamps, they're killers.

Im all about production. I want to get the most out of the space I have regardless of the amount of watts used. Which is why I use 1000w DE.

You can put as much power as you want in a certain amount of space. He's simply choosing not to. Your design is scalable. If Realstyles turned his lamps all the way up, his canopy would burn down. Again, realstyles lamps are OVERBUILT, he said he has them dimmed.
Some of us cram more power into a smaller space to make better use of the space for more total yield/area, at the expensive of some g/W, while others use less power in their space to get better g/W at the expense of less total yield. None of that is inherent to whether you use LED or HPS.

Thats what I said, if you do I will be impressed. But I regularly get 2.25 per 1000 off my set up and have done 2.5 a few times. So do the math on that. Have you gotten a pound per 400w yet? You said it was your goal.
I will seriously be impressed if you get a pound per 400w. But like I also said I'm all about production and wouldn't be running my room at half capacity ever. Regardless of the season. Full blast all year.

I don't know if you've been paying attention (you seem to be purposefully ignoring what we say) ,but that's his first run with these DIY lamps. He's used to HPS. We both have experience with HPS. Realstyles worked at a dispensary growing with HPS. He isn't an idiot.
I have many grows with HPS under my belt(i did my first HPS run in 1998 or 99, and only recently started using DIY led a year ago. I have about 4 completed seasons with my own DIY builds, and the results have been fantastic. Realstyles is using an updated version of the same cobs with the same warm white spectrum. I've never gotten below 1g/W yet with my builds. You could only imagine that the same emitters, only more efficient would produce the same results for less electricity.
We keep trying to report our results, but you .... "skeptics" keep taking it as a threat to your manliness and insist you could do better. That's NOT the point. Nobody is saying they're a better grower than you. There's really no reason to get defensive about it. We're simply telling you about a light that's indisputably brighter than gavita given the same input watts and you take it as a hit against your macho-ness.

Not once in this thread was it mentioned that this is his first run and is use to hps. Regardless I would not sacrifice total yield for gpw. I work with a dispensary currently, all of their top shelf is grown by hps. Its a larger dispensary too with a large selection and lots of vendors trying to sell to them. Ive had this talk with the owner a few times and he has told me that he has yet to see top shelf meds grown with led come through the door. He said he has seen some decent stuff but not anything he could sell as top shelf.
Never once did I question his intelligence, so maybe you need to listen more and are a little thick. I only question led because of all the reasons I have stated. Having the person who crops me out every harvest tell me that, why would I ever switch to led?
