This will be a thread for all my tents. I hung the lunch box today man those cobs are bright! Have the 360 vero29 coming for the 4 x 4 and I'm going to put this 200 watt unit in the 2 x 4. I'll still be vegging with the Onyx grow 6500 K in the 3x3. Plants shown here have been under the Onyx bloom and will now finish under optic

Well its whispered the area 51 is going to drop some bomb cob units module style, in June. I have used California light Work and also have grown with onyx bloom which are excellent lamps. just turning this on and setting up my meters under it blew me away. Whatever you choose spend wisely try to be future proof it looks like multiple large, cob arrays aregoing to be the way.

Seems your 360w Vero29 unit is the best choise and should be very good for your babies.
It is the most efficient and also better as the Cree units, because the Vero's performes better with higher currents as the Cree CXB3070. p.e. V29@2,1A=39,6% vs. CXB3070@2,1A=37,2%!
No benefit for the higher price!
Good luck, looks very nice so far and I'm curious how it will end.

I cannot recall which bin the current CXBs are but
Vero29 3K V2.0, 39.8% @ 2.1A (79W)
CXB3070 3K AB, 39.7% @ 2.1A (78W)
CXB3070 3K AD, 42% @ 2.1A (78W)

At some point if he could work these in:
CXB3590 3.5K CD 36V, 49.6% @ 2.1A (76W)

But the CXB3590s are almost 2X the cost of Vero 29s, so if you run them harder (+more expensive driver):
CXB3590 3.5K CD 36V, 43% @ 2.8A (104W)

bro, im loving optic 360 you turned me onto back in March. Growing lovely flowers as we speak. But...i think it would be wise to add a pontoon on each end to brighten up the length. Im thinking 4 cxb 3070 2 on each side using the hlg 185 1400.

This is a flowering only lamp so im wondering which is best bin. Is it smart to go with 3k to complement the 4 k veros?

Lastly since the cobs are on 2 separate heatsinks with the optic vero in the middle how should the wiring from the driver to the cobs be set up?

CW i stuck my query in here because it seemed sort of relevant. I will move it no probs if you like. My intention is not to be a strap.

Also got this, reduced to a 6x24 can filter, idled down I use 60watts to cool a 4x4 and my 3x3 veg tent. Before I ran a 6 inch and a 4 inch full blast with Vortex blowers about 250 watts to pull both tents with air tight plumbing. Now in summer I'll have some serious back up cfm,but hopefully won't need it being efficient with my lighting and shit! Cheers:D

This is the 4 by 4 tent just finished week 3 in the back row. going to move the optic vero 360 in to here, and put the 200 what CXB 3070 in the two by four to flower 2 space queen.
Following along...I am leaning towards an Optic 360 and 4x4 tent so curious to see how well the 360 covers your 4x4

Ordered 2 3070 3000k Cree cobs from digikey. I have a buddy to help with the soldering my question was now coolers and drivers. @SupraSPL I want to light a 2x4 any suggestions. I plan on aluminum c channel or lengths of 90°. Thanks I have only purchased the 3070 cobs as of yet. No dimming, max light in your consideration please :)

This would explain why they are not stocking their current product and only taking pre-orders at a discounted price. They must think their current product will fall out of demand when they unveil the new product.

Not sure about that, always sold out previously on all models. Seems like a gambling move to offer a item you know everyone can make? Either way I have with no offense to A51 skipped them for the fact that they were everywhere. But. They Always Turned Out
