DE is what they use for grit in most toothpaste. It is used as an insecticide in grain silos. It is a common additive in animal feeds. My chickens love to 'dust' themselves in it, it prevents mites.
Here is the residue left on the older leaves. You can see the new growth is clean & bug free...

Oh you decided to get the bioworks after all? Thats cool ! I just sprayed them before I took the pic's yesterday. I sprayed a butterfly and it did a nose dive out of the sky .
