biggest bass last week end. calling for rain this week end, just staying home and do bitch work for the wife.
i use ultra lite rod and reel with 4 lb test and a # 10 bream hook. i put either a minnow or a live worm on.
on the minnow...no weight , hook him thru the lip ,with about 2 feet of line to the cork..throw it out, let him swim on his own...funny thing is, is when the minnow sees a bass coming for him, you see the cork hauling butt, then bam..the cork goes under..lol
on the worm... i will give yall the best tip for fishing with live worms. hook it just bearly , dont let the hook go all the way thru the skin. then take a hypodermic needle(i use them diabetic ones) fill him up with about 2 cc of air. about a foot or so above the worm, put a small split shot weight..a carolina rig up really....no float..cast out and retrive very, very slowly. the worm being full of air and swole up , floats off the bottom, and
is unresistable to bass and bream. remove the split shot and use as a top water bait too...works great.
