I was just looking at my very first thread. That year I had 27 plants in the weed cage, this year just 1. And I'll still out produce those 27 with this 1 plant (I hope).
Here's a picture of the weed cage that first year. Note there's no top over the cage that first year.

Late that year the top was installed. Look how much room there was around the weed cage back then...

Nice score !! Well doneAnother Yard Sale Score!
The first yard sale we went to yesterday the people are moving to Washington on the 8th. She was busy as hell first thing in the morning and giving good deals. I seen some carport poles stacked up over in another part of the yard. I asked her about them, but she was to busy, and "the poles" wasn't part of the sale. As we were leaving she told me to come back Sunday at the end of the sale and we'll talk.
Long story short, two complete 20' x 10', 8 legged 2" pipe carport frames for $55. Not a single dented pole/connector.

Damn, this sucks but being a bigger snake is a good thing. Young snakes dont have control and dump everything they've got. I hope Marley pulls through!Marley update...
For those of you who don't know, our pit "Marley" was hit by a Rattlesnake yesterday in the snout. This was her 2nd bite by a rattler, but this bite was MUCH worse by a much bigger snake than last years bite. I didn't see the snake, but the gap between the fang marks is wide, big snake. She was in bad shape last night, and we got very little sleep monitoring her.
Well 24 hours later she is doing much better now. She ate tonight, wagging her tail, the swelling has come down 25%, and starting to act like the old Marley. The dog just keeps amazing me. I had my money on my dog the whole time, but she was fighting for her life last night, and is still not out of the woods yet. I'll keep everyone updated....

She's all about chasing the rodents here on the property. We have TONS of granite out cropping's full of fractures on the property, perfect living habitat for the rodents (squirrels) and rattlesnakes. Her nose is in those cracks hunting the rodents. She just stuck her nose in the wrong hole.Sorry to hear that your Marley was bit by the rattlesnake. I know that most of the dogs are afraid of snakes really, they usually escape when they see a snake, your dog seems pretty brave. I hope everything goes well, and I have to say your plants are gorgeous!
