what would happen if you flower on veg nutes?

I am wondering if it is possible to flower plants while still using veg nutes in order to see there sex. Sounds dumb i know but hear me out. I was just thinking if i started a bunch of seeds, then put them into my flood table and started to grow them, then once they are big enuf, takes some cuttings, root them and keep them in the same table as the mothers - removing them for 12 hours, (or covering them or something from the light) in order to sex them to see what sex the mothers are.

All this because i only have one table and cant afford the money or room for two.

Silly question i know but anyway, help would be appreciated (even a simple - 'your an idiot')

J/K, they will be fine. If you continue with 12/12 after they show obviously you would want to switch your nutes. If you are just talking about waiting till they show sex and putting them back in to veg then your plan will work without a hitch.

thats what i'm saying. I would be taking a clone from each plant and keeping them in the vegetative grow nutes, but putting them in darkness for 12 hours a day (by covering them or removing them) to sex them, so i know which mother(s) to keep. Without having to set up another table for flowering

also, does anyone have an opinion as to whether you think it would be sufficient just to cover th plants with something in order to simulate night? Or should i remove them from the system for 12 hours?

I think this how it works, they have to be in complete darkness when the lights are out even the slightest light leak can cause problems. So if you can block all the light out by doing it that way i don't see why you can't get away with that. Hope that helps.
