So i want to make the swap to a water only soil for a few outdoor plants. i need about 400 gallons worth of medium. Id like a recipe that doeant need to cook if thats possible? Ive heard ocean forest with 1/3 perlite is a good veg mix? But i wanna put them from there 10 gallons into the 100s now. Any advice is appreciated!

you can topdress dry nutes. then topdress castings and compost on top of the mites. Water with compost teas and seed sprout teas. Add cover crops too. That will help break down everything faster.

for outdoor you are gonna want a pretty fortified soil, so I don't know of many ways to achieve that without aging it.
Maybe tons of comfrey leaves?
Or hell just get 400 gallons of vermifire or something.

hahaha, nothing like a good-ole topdressing of spider-mites!!
Man.... that would be a dirty trick if you knew a grower you hated....

that would be hilarious. Theres one guy I know that i grew up with that is a drama queen and instigates so much b.s. And hates on me tough because he can't grow as good as me and doesn't have my connections.
he does hydro. When I'd be at his house and he'd talk ahit or tell lies about me. I so wanted to pour alcohol or Visine or something into his resi's. I never did. I thought about quite a bit.

so could i use FFOF as the main top layer and put a bloom formula at the bottom?

just put the whole mix the same, layering isn't needed, or is it logical.
Remember cannabis is a drought tolerant WEED, it's roots shoot down to the bottom, within days.
In the real world the TOP layer is where the nutrients are.
Vermifire is waaay better than ffof too.

I have tried getting vermifire on east coast but they want like 50 dollars a bag so look into that op to see if it's a viable option

Damn that's expensive. I can get it at a local shop here for $23 out the door.

the only shop that has it around here charges $40 a bag and same for a bale of pro mix. $20 for fox farm $24 for roots. I only go there for crab meal and neem meal. Apparently I'm the only one that buys it. So they hook me up. I'm the reason they started carrying it too. Lol

Well for my mix im thinking ill use 50% FFOF, 25% bloom? Recommended soil? 25% perlite. Then ill add in some bennies, ancient forest humus, some fulvic and humic granulars, and that should do fairly well i hope?

So for 400 gallons i need..
50% FFOF 200 gallons - 18 1.5cf bags
25% perlite 100 gallons - 9 cf
bloom soil? will need 9cf

Any suggestiins for humic fulvic products and mkre cost effective microbes? A good tea recipe for bloom would be cool if anyone has any.

you will need to lime or oyster shellell.flour FF as its pH is pretty low from all my experiences.

About how much dolomite lime should i add? should i just do FFOF with perlite and then do teas for bloom?
I think you're sorta looking at this a lil skewed brother, and I mean 100% no disrespect..
but forget anything "vege" or "bloom" oriented.
Get a good soil and made correctly, if it does need any nutrients it won't need to be anything phosphorus heavy, in fact more often than not, that fucks things up.
Fish bone meal is priceless in my opinion, it gives you that phosphorus very slowly which perfectly coincides with the maturation of the plant and it's flowering time.
but really, forget about the NPK numbers, in organics you'll do better with less.
A good compost and wormbin is WAY more important than particular nutrients..

so then what is a good soil mix to use?
