Figure the outdoor grow needs its own thread. Welcome !

this years plan is 8 plants, just the recreational plants for myself and my GF.

Strains going this year:

But the outdoor is looking like

1 4 footer cheese surprise from seed breeders boutique
1 4 footer f2 Gogi OG - this is from dr.d81 from clone
1 Gorilla glue 18-22 inches tall clone
1 4 footer Wet dreams (critical sensi star x Dream lotus male) clone
1 3 footer Black berry Kush x Jabbas stash by 2 dog seeds - from seed
1 3 footer Sour Grapes by Bog seeds
1 40 inch Blue OG by G13 seeds
1 2010 dog Kush by breeders boutique from clone
 
It will be 321 delivered. Got 6 cubic yards of natures best organic, and 2 cubic yard of veggie plus compost.

Thanks for the kind words! I am hoping for 4-5# per plant. Lofty goals I know, but with all my experience under my belt, and the large size of the plants, I think its doable.

I picked up 10 gallon grow bags, will get all the plants into those next week. Everything is currently in coco so want them to get adjusted to soil, and get them to harden them off. I wanted something cheap, and like the idea of just being able to cut the bag off. Everything is currently in 5 gallon smart pots, so will have one more step up, then into 150 or 200 smart pots, havent decided whihc size.

lava rock and pumice stone ...
unless you can find p-lite cheap i perfer the pumice @85$ per yard by me...

Screened Garden Compost, with nearly 100% passing through a 1/2” screen and over 80% passing through a 1/4” screen blended with Organic OMRI listed fertilizer and Mycorrhizal Fungi.

it does not say what the fert is in the veggie compost .. LOCK that down ....

that bit of perlite mixed in should top up those pots a touch more as you thought you might be just short on filling to the top even with mulch ;)

I use both or rice hulls in place of the perlite. The lava rock slowly sinks in the soil and the perlite floats. Together you get a nice long term structure. You also can add coco:)

i forget about the rice as its not local or "cheap"
the p-lite breaks down with my worm activity and is so pricey i find the pumice to be a better choice for my area...

Yea rice hulls will be regional for sure. All my old soil is in my buddy's veggies garden and some babies popped up he gave his friend.

I paid 79 a yard for happy hippie. Has a lot of good stuff in it.

i like the lava rock its color adds something to look at in the pot...

there are a good number of rice farms from chico to fresno but Ive never seen rice hulls for sale anywhere!

Make sure you get lots of glacial rock dust in there too. I always like to add a few shovel loads of native soil as well, to add native soil life and minerals. Looks like you have a great start to the season.
