First attempt at a scrog...check it out

You would get much better results if you didnt mangle the plants to dry them. If you turn the lights off for 2 days at the end they think its winter and pull all the THC from their system, then you cut as low on the stem as possible and hang them in a dark room for 2 weeks, Then you should clip and dry it out as you normally would, then cure.

You would get much better results.

um..no....have you ever harvested before? first of all there is no thc runnin through the plant man...it's ALL in the trichs. thats why we make hash from trimmings...and not the fan leaves are stems. secondly...if you hang your buds before you trim they become very difficult to trim properly. you will not get more thc in the buds from hanging the plant as a whole and where I am I dry buds in four days then cure for three weeks.

Looking good, dont forget to train them! Most people just let the plant grow straight through, for best results you should tuck all the plant tips back under the screen, but your already flowering so i dont know how well that will work now. Next time veg and train under the screen until the entire screen is full and flat, then start flowering, heres a link to the most impressive scrog ive seen.Show your ScrOG!!! - Cannabis Culture Forums

oh yeah looking good so far, i think scrog is the way to go, ill be starting clones and getting mine going in about a week, the link above is whaat made want to try scrog.

dude i hat to hate becuase i have no scrog exp. but i dont think a restrictive aka rigid enivronment for the cola separation is good. it blocks mad light and theres no flex to it. all ou want to do... i mean the general idea behind scrog is a low stress training regimine that allows each cola an equal amount of light to maximise cola development.. i wouldve used poultry netting to allow more light penetration, but id say w what you did youd supply more light to otherwise deprivedmparts of the plant, so well done chap!

I wanna say thanks guys for your input. I am aware that screening with wire is the most effective way of doing this. I am just trying to save room on my flower room by doing this plant as a small indy scrog. I am about to have 22 plants in my flower room doing a sog and this is just tryin to save space for that. but I do appreciate the help and encoragement guys. if this turnes out good then I may go sgrog through my whole flower roon iun which case I will set it up properly any more tips and tricks are very welcome. Thanks all:mrgreen:

look sexy but why didnt u used something like a wire cage??? but that mike box is a good idea tho. and how are u goin to tranplants those?

I just used the crate because I had it at the house...as far as transplant goes I am just gonna leave it in the one gallon bag. It should be fine. I transplanted it into the one gallon bag from a six inch pot right before it went under the screen. :mrgreen:

yeah I wanna try small scale to see the difference it makes before I think about doing a bigger one...it is under a 600 watt hps and there are more plants in there with it...this is my flower room right now....and the scrog crate is just out of the pic to the right:mrgreen:

Your plants look good man. If you vegged for a week longer you could double the number of bud sites. Do you know the strain?

I am making seeds with these plants...I dunno the sativa strain...it came from a friend...I have 17 clones that are still waiting to go into veg...but the two bushy ones in the round 3 gallon pots are conquistador. I am not going to pollinate the scrog plant though. or the 17 other clones.:mrgreen:

so far so good eh.Do you have a connie girl? that you are pollinating with a connie boy? ?To make connie seeds.Cause id love to get some.My 1st try to get the seeds ended badly because i wasnt upfront with my intentions.This time straight up i want some connie beans.Ill trade for um or whatever,If you just wanna gift um that would be old school cool.Any way scrog looks pretty good.Filling out nicely.Are you using any M G products?

no mg products....as far as the connie beans go I am crossing the boys in there with the tall sativa...i didnt get a girl on this run unfortunately:-?
