Dr. Greenhorn, are you really between 19 and 22 degrees latitude? I've been thinking it might help to go with a more sativa dominant variety. It's hard to find out the % though. Do you know a reliable place to go to find out this information? What are a couple of varieties your recommend that won't flower so easily?

Yes i am. I live in hawaii, gotta love it :D

I haven't ordered beans in awhile so I'm not sure what's out there now... my good friend goes thrugh GG gage green. He is a tester for GG genetics and some of the strains he's grown, turned into monsters. Try looking into GG. He got columbian crosses, willie nelson crosses. Etc..

I'm growing out frost right now and it's made for this latitude. That thing grows into monsters.

I would have to say blue dream is one of the most forgiving plants you could possibly grow. Lots of water and toppd early(ive had them break 15ft untopped) also i have grown atleast 10 diff cuts and never ran into a bad 1. They can handle high ppm although you do not need to. Big pot size plays a huge roll. 200gal min to acheive 5lbs w ease. Ive grown and seen these girls do well over 10. A lot of people cut early i would reccomend a layered harvest starting in the middle of oct. cut tops give it a week to ten days then cut mids( repeat w bottoms)
hey Bigapple: could u give me a few suggestions on the nutrients you've used. that info would help out the learning curve tremendously :)

any suggestions for outdoor grow nutrients would be much appreciated :)
Maxsea is good stuff. 16-16-16 for veg and 3-20-20 for bloom. I like to use a root accelerator with it as well. I got some Tappin'Roots this year but superthrive works great and is alot cheaper. Also you can throw top dressings on your soil every month or so. These are all good top dressings blood meal, earthworm castings, crab meal (or any fish meal), bat guano(or other bird guanos), kelp meal.

I have 3 different cuts of blue dream this year. It's my second time doing the strain and it lives up to all the hype. Easy growing vigorous plant. Here are my blue dreams this year. They are passing up my bigger ones. The first two I got from a cannabis club, third one was from another club I got it as a replacement for a weak clone, lastly is another bd clone I got for free. The two big ones were only topped once and bushed out
