I just noticed the same white stuff on a few of my plants but didnt see any of those bugs. I tried to take a pic but you cant really see much in my pic.

I bet its same thing. There's a bug or whatever it is, on it too.
This one was on a tomato plant, but also have seen em on my girls.

Well guys the white stuff would be mold, as far as the bug...that's a white thrip sucking the sweet juices right out of the stem while the mold is eating the leftovers. If you have dead leaves under your plants this attracts them....as far as getting rid if them and the mold in one shot...
1-2 tsp of coconut oil sprayed everywhere ( your plants love this btw) add some habenero juice to the spray if you have a extreme infestation...hope this helps!

I found a few more today. I think it some kind of worm/fly in the cocoon phase and the white stuff is its webbing. I saw a small one that was all white and didnt move until after i started to really harrass it, then it woke up and started hopping around after he mamaged to get off his back and on his feet.

The second one was much bigger and had a green face. I clipped off the stem that had his nest and he started moving around instantly. He still had the white stuff on his body but his head was green. He also had trouble getting off his back. When he was on his feet it was obvious he couldnt fly but I stomped him out before he could hop away.

You can see better in this pic he has the white stuff on his body and big red eyes.

Uhh? Is this an out door grow? That doesn't look anything like the other pics from before? Might have been a beneficial bug eating the thrips..or the sap in which case it needed to go! Looks like an assassin bug though..look them up you want these in your garden!

What state are you in? Are you near water also? The what ever it is it seems to be in a nymph stage and that big with out noticeable damage I'd say it's preying on other bugs!

On second thought that is a leaf hopper...never knew they could actually resemble mold!

Last week i checked all my plants for the white stuff and squashed out a few more i think i got them all, all the white spots had one of these guy on it and there was deffinately some white stuff coming out of his butt. Hopefully this is the last i see of them.
I grow indoors but my freind gave me some soil so i could plant a clone for him to grow outdoors, i think he left the soil outside because shortly after i planted and watered all the bugs came out.

yeah I live right beside of water.
I was afraid it was mold at first too. that's what got me looking closer then I saw the bug

I think they are gone. Good call on the leaf hoppers, looks like thats what they are. Its crazy how many there are and how different they all look, theres a bunch of pictures here, a few of them look like mine did.
