Correct PH for growing in soil

Hi, I am using fox farms ocean forest soil to grow in, I just mixed up a new batch of Nutes to water my plants with, and I used tap water, then I added the nutes ( bloom, cal mag and silica) and my PH right out of the facet with the nutes added is 5.8 is this good?

Soil pH is best in 6-7. I settle for 6.4-6.6. 5.8 is okay for hydro but you may get some nutrient lockout from the acidic soil.

Calmag isnt necessary with tap water for the most part. Unless your water is 0 ppm you don't need to add any of that. It's suited for hydro growers who use reverse osmosis water. Which removes almost all mineral content. Fox farm soils have plenty of calcium in it from dolomite lime. Ocean forest has oyster shells which also provide calcium. Fwiw If you overdose on calcium certain death will result. Also ocean forest is a hot soil mix so no nutes need to be used for a month if in at least a 3 gallon pot.

Some have said ere extra call mag is needed under LED? So now I am abit confused, there is leaf yellowing going on, and Idon't know if it's end of look life, or nute lock out or to much mag?

i run mine at 6.8 in soil

what strain your running might have a lot to do with yellowing friend,just might be a 8 to 10 week strain ,what are your thricomes telling you

You have a nutrient issue for sure. The veins shouldn't be yellowing like that at all. The only yellowing you should see is during the flushing stage when nitrogen is being used up by the plant that it has stored in the leaves. And that should be a gradual fading and not spotty. If you are adding nutrients and see leaves like that then you have something out of whack. Most common issue with synthetic nutrients and soil is the soil pH. These nutrients lower the soil pH causing a nutrient lockout. Regular flushing helps with these issues. Also a common reason for this is over using these kinds of nutrients. PH your water to 7 and let it sit for a few minutes then check it again. Water until you get runoff and check the pH of that runoff. This will tell you the soil pH. You can then adjust. How long have you been flowering?

I live in Oregon and well water is typically hard. Meaning high levels of dissolved solids. Calcium to be specific.
Type of lighting doesn't dictate weather you need more or less nutrients. So that was bad advice.
At 8 weeks just water with tap water for a week or two and harvest.

What strain is it? I looks done but looks can be deceiving. For the most part any indica or hybrid finishes in 8-9 weeks indoors. Pure sativas are more like 12. Being that you are 8 weeks in and it looks pretty ripe, assuming it is a hybrid or indica heavy I'd flush a few gallons of tap pH'd water and resume watering with plain water as needed until harvest. If you have a flushing agent like flora kleen from General Hydro I'd use that but don't pH adjust it. It helps break down the salt build up and remove excessive nutrients from the soil.
What is the ppm of the last batch of nutes you made up?

Spotting form PH lock my friend.

Measure the PH and EC of at least 2 quarts of run off from fresh PH'd water to 6.5 . . . . report back . . . . .
