Not sure what birthday cakes traits are so I would just be guessing. Here are a couple pics of nugs.Judging by trichomes is not the best method as they ripen and grow daily , but an over-all look of the plant itself is simple to judge as depending on strain , your shouldn't have new hairs growing , unless its known for foxtailing.
Lets see some pics of the bud itself.
Yes I did defoliate along with cut my nuts back 50% this past 2 weeks. I'm impressed haha. Thank you so much for the information. I will chop them down tonight and start the cure. Those look ready if not over board , also followed up by your trich pics. Also looks like you defoliated and or the plant did starving for food , but your buds looks awesome and flavorful!
Enjoy!
Make sure to dry before curing , j/king sure you know and if possible harvest right when lights come on , more trichomesYes I did defoliate along with cut my nuts back 50% this past 2 weeks. I'm impressed haha. Thank you so much for the information. I will chop them down tonight and start the cure.
So for an all around type of head/body high I would want to wait a little longer? Would you say about another week to achieve those results?depending on the "high" you have about -10% amber tic's only -40% milky - 50% clear - consider a 50/50 mix (50 milky/cloudy and 50% amber) many use this
Remember - marijuana has a 14 day harvest window
Yeah, my humidity sits around 40% in my tent so I'm assuming it's a standard 2 or 3 days to dry. I don't know if I'm able to harvest first thing due to work until next weekend. Would I be pushing my luck if I wait another week? I should still be in that 14 day window Harris mentioned.Make sure to dry before curing , j/king sure you know and if possible harvest right when lights come on , more trichomes
Makes sense. I wondered if the trichomes would continue to mature and for how long.Just because you cut a plant doesn't mean it dies instantly.
If you are "maturing" curing -yes. the plant (tic's) stop growing just makes what is developed better -increase THC and taste thru proper drying and curing. In drying the plant is using all the rest of nutrients. Proper curing is an "art" also once one has the growing part mastered.Makes sense. I wondered if the trichomes would continue to mature and for how long.
You are correct every one has one (ass-hole) But it is nice to hear other information/opinions even if they are ass-holes - one can always learn and increase one's knowledge of culultivation - that's what this site is about -right?ya know tho, opinions are like assholes.....
