I figure many of you don't have regular jobs, so I decided to document what I did today so some of you could get a glimpse of what it's like to be a working stiff. Gotta get paid.

6am up, coffee, shower shave get dressed off to work at 6:50.

7:15 stop at McDs for a sausage biscuit, arrive at work 7:25 Log into the system and eat my biscuit.

7:35, check email/phone messages. Nothing. Fiddle with Trollitup(throughout the day) watch some short videos.

8:30, check email, nothing. Look up some info on DIY COBs watch some more videos. Check to see how the stock market is doing.

9:45, break time and I check email when I get back. Nothing. Checked some local and national news and weather.

"FYI" Netflix has a full seasons of Counting Cars, Pawn Stars, American Restoration and Modern Marvels. Works good on LTE. Seen them all. At work.

11:45, rebooted and check email/phone(nothing) and log out for lunch at 12.

12:30, back from lunch, log in and check email/phone messages. Notta.

1:45 received a package ordered for my boss, placed on her desk.

2:00, Break time. No emails/phone messages. More of the same internet browsing, Trollitup and watching vids.

2:30, went through my desk drawer and found 2 documents that need to be scanned in the system and placed on file. Done at 2:35.

4:00 I slid in another break around 3, still no emails or phone messages all day. Did drop a few things into the shredder. Log out at 4. Been a tough day so, taking some leave tomorrow. We have a very generous leave and holiday policy. FWIW.

Get home usually before 5 with a stop or two.

That's a pretty typical day for me although I usually get a couple of emails and have to do at least a little bit of work. My boss only comes to this office 1 or 2 days a week, but, some weeks not at all. I LOVE MY JOB!

If anyone else would like to share what they do at work I think that would be great.

Fuck all that noise, I get up when my body says it's damn good n ready, spend a lil intimate time with my girlfriend, drink several cups of her AMAZING coffee- then stumble down the stairs to do my job...

Breaks when I want, smoking is actually a work activity here- gotta ensure quality levels are up to scratch, doncha know!- lunch generally a lil after one, cuz I like it that way.

Afternoon is filled with trimming, training, nute changes and whatnot.

I get off whenever I want, and head out for disc golf, walking my dog, riding my mountain bike (in mountains! Imagine!) or whatever...

You keep your job, I like mine better.

I can't even get over #1, up at 6am??? Fuck that, I'm usually headed to bed at that time. You should grow weed...

Edit - Your job sounds pretty easy, keep it...
Sounds too much like work bro. I can barely keep up with my little Hempy Bucket and Lucas Formula micro grow. Did you know that you have to mix up nutes and water that stuff every other day? Man. I'm outta breath just thinking about it.

:hump:

One more thing. I've got retirement and top notch medical insurance that costs me next to nothing. You sound young. Keep up the good work. BTW, often I am up around 4ish AM, sometimes earlier and have a morning coffee sesh everyday. I just used 6 am cause that's when I start getting ready for work.

I'm young enough- still under fifty!

My retirement plan will unfortunately involve real work. Fortunately, I'll get to keep the money instead of handing it to some undeserving bastard with a sexier job title than me.

When you've been in the work force for 35 years you become acclimated to the security and structure of having a 9 to 5.

Now in 2001, I quit a very very good job cause I had been piddling around with the stock market for a couple of years and decided I wanted to be a self employed daytrader. No CCs, paid for recent truck, and had turned a few Gs into several more. So.

I didn't drink or smoke weed that entire year. I didn't party or nothing. Up in the morning like 2 am reading news, studying charts, scouting about to see what's trending. I traded like a mofo every day and managed to turn that initial few Gs into mid 5 figures and everything was paid for but the crib. I wouldn't leave my trading desk until 8 or 9 pm doing research etc. I was more focused that year than I have ever been in my life.

911. I watched agasp as they halted the market pre-market. I watched the news, saw the towers fall live. I knew I was screwed. I lost much of that 5 figures because I had bought a bunch of risky junk. My fault, but I had enough liquid to get me by for about 6 months, got a CDL and back to work I went! LOL. NO REGRETS.

Anyway youngun. Save up and go legit. Everybody should start some kind of business at least once in their life and give it a go. If you work hard enough you just might make it.

For real.

Then they will know what it feels like to watch an asshat walk in with new Jordans, but attempt to low ball a service they require at a local ma and pa shop. Oh you can't afford that? Oh its too much? Oh this guy back in your old home town?

Take your 300 dollar shoes back or get used to walking in them because fuck your car.

Enjoy that sweet schedule you got now. Work for yourself hard enough long enough, and you end up finding a few more gears you didn't realize existed. Even a bad day can be awesome because its your bad day, not a boss/manager being a douche.

I enjoy pay day the most. Really does feel good watching these guys work their asses off, and being able to compensate and reward beyond expectations and then watch and hear about their families enjoying life because of it all. Although just keeping up and paying bills with your own creation is baddassery in its self.

LOL. Yeah man, I feel ya and trust me I've done a few other entrepreneurial gigs as well over my 35 years. Although I am very self motivated and haven't really had a supervisor in decades, I just don't have much salesman in me. I'm more of the hands on guy that makes stuff happens behind the scenes when the shit hits the fan. Otherwise I would be toast and prolly get laid off or something.

Anyway, at my age my life is stable as fuck. I have the paid for toys, big screenm, latest electricals and minimal payments other than the crib. I'm gonna ride this out as long as I can, but coming from a hands on manufacturing background, some days I don't really fill fulfilled with what I do. But, I get over that real quick. It's all good my brutha. Everybody gotta contribute something.

Sounds like a chill office job to me.

I start work as a sign spinner in 2 days. $10hr starting pay, no drug tests, nobody telling you what to do the whole time. Plus I love fiddling around with objects in my hands so this is gonna be cake (minus the 90f -100f heat). My previous job was a dishwasher but that lasted 3 days. I hate when people tell me to do things so I am working on my own produce business (along with the sign spinning) from my own house selling to my neighbors for CHEAP prices.

Wait, are you saying you don't pay taxes? Or something else?
