Yes peat moss, but that coco brick is just as good. but probly better if u mix it lol. As for when u get a good seed, drop it in a blacked out shot glass filled with water. Cover top with some thing that won't let light in. Wait 18-24 hrs. check and if the seed has fallen to the bottom of the glass, if it has, it is ready to go into a moist paper towel folded up in a plastic bag. Put in a warm, dark place. wait anywhere from 2-14 days, check everyday to see if it has a tap root. Once u see the seed has about a 1/4 in. root, carefully plant into pot about 1/2 in, in soil. root up! And don't drench seedling with water just enough to stay moist, and never give a seedling nutes! they have enough stored in t to sustain themselves through the seedling stage. Once u see the little baby seedling leaves yellowing and dying, then u r in veg stage. Start introducing 1/4 strength nutes. U need a journal/log for waterings, feedings, problems and perks. Finding the ideal feeding schedule, will save u time if u plan to clone and keep the plant u r working on now. U will know what it wants when it wants it. Good luck man! And I hope everything goes well! Happy growing:leaf::leaf::weed::leaf::leaf:

Okay thanks great just so I'm understanding correctly do I brake up the coco brick? Or leave it as is & just cut a piece of it & mix it with the peat moss.....

And when you say root up I'm confused because I thought the root grew down I germinate but just dropping my seed into water when it pops open with the white root I thought that part went down & top of seed upward I'm looking forward to trying how you suggested just trying to make sure I do it right I obviously germinate wrong

When you say Root up meaning the white part that pops out seed facing up? When that happens do I put that inside coco brick or do I brake the brick & then mix it with the peat?

Yes, break a chunk off and put it in a about a liter of water it will soak it up and and just break up into mix with some peat.

This will help a little
That's the dumbest fucking drawing I've ever seen ahahahahaha you're kidding right? Why would the root head towards the surface?? That illustration implies that the root and not the shoot seeks light......does that sound right to you?? If you're leaving your germinated seeds in the soil in a dark place then ya it doesn't matter which way you put the tail because it's going to be confused as there's no light to grow towards. This is why 24hr lighting is important for speedy results, that little seed works 24/7 and if there's light the whole time it'll grow straight up, no confusion, no root searching for a light then doing a u-turn...fuck me ahahahaha oh man that's rich. Oscar, plant the infant root tail down and save your self a few days of worry. Rdale, I'm sorry but you're just as misinforming as that bogus illustration you have shown us. Go pick up some botany books and learn how a plant grows. These are not a mystical species of plant that grow differently than every other species of plant. The fundamentals are relativley the same across the board.

I didn't misinformation anyone dude. And there is no need to be a fuckin puke. I told him u r fine either way, and didn't say, this is the ONLY way a this seed will grow. I'm not trying to fucking fight with a grow snob dude, I was simply trying to help someone. there r different growing techniques then just the easiest plant to grow possible. Dude needed help. i threw some at him. The only thing i picked out was the way seed is put in the ground. Am i doing everything wrong? Idk i might be wrong on everything i said can u go back and maybe verify everything I said cause I don't want to be misinforming people. Thanks, have a great day and happy growing

Fuck, fuck, fuckity, fuck. If you left it alone after your original statement and didn't show that stupid photo I wouldn't have said shit but you had to show that stupid photo. The photo infers that is the proper, quickest, most sure way to do it. Why else would you show it if you did not believe the same. Either way, I'm not here to get in a pissing match with you, just letting Oscar know the proper way to plant a seed.

Ok so I've been learning like everyone else on this site and saw something that looked kinda strange, but made sense, while I was reading it. I'm surly not as experienced as u man, and u would piss circles around me all day. Take it from someone I know will answer back, Usualy works better then reading these threads. and u never know till u find out. But I will say go ur way man I just don't like to be approached and be shit on. Could have approached in a more professional manner. Sorry for acting like a big headed prick. Thanks for the clear up
