Pruning during flowering?

Howdy folks,

So my buddy has a plant about 3 weeks into flowering. If he prunes some of the leaves during this stage of growth, is it going to shock the plant or what? There are some bud sites that he'd really like to get more light, but some of the larger fan leaves are blocking them, would it be okay to remove part of the leaf that's blocking the site, or the entire leaf? What, if anything, should be pruned during this period? Thanks.

So he should just pull them off by hand? Should he pull off all the fan leaves, or just a few? He's afraid of taking off too much and not having leaves for the plant to absorb backup nutrients from.

Some simple LST with twine to open up plant to light. Should have pruned up a bit PRIOR to flowering.

She's over 3 feet tall and has a nice thick main stem, do you suggest simply tying it down and slowly lowering it day by day? If I do this, am I going to sacrafice buds on one side of the plant for those that are parallel to the light?

Some growers do a GENTLE Bounce of the branches to WIDEN the plant. It is a very low stress way to open the middle and lower to allow more light AND more air circulation.

Example : when you buy a xmas tree that's been bundled. . A gentle bounce to the branches to relax them.
