Advanced Nutes in Coco

Hey everyone this is my first post but ive been growing for a couple years. I started using advanced nutes in coco this run and am having some small issues. I was told by AN that i should only use up to 150ppm of a cal mag supplement if i decide to use cal mag. I use RO water. Last couple days i have gotten some yellowing at the edge of some of the newer fan leaves and now my new growth shoots are yellowing a bit. They are lighter colored at the base of the new growth leaves and darker at the tips.. Some of the newer shoots have some deformed blades and what not and plant is looking a bit lighter colored than im use to seeing overall. Have been using 150ppm cal mag to start and then bring it up to about 600-700 ppm [.7 scale] using sensi grow a+b [not coco version] and b52 about every other feeding. Have been feeding everyday with about 20% runoff and i water when they are still wet. Letting them dry about 40%-50%. Recently topped the plant so it hasnt been drinking as much this week but still continued to water every day. Plant was looking great until now. Its about 2 months old from seed. My main question is for anyone who uses Advanced in coco. Do you use cal mag? If so how much? Also if anyone can help me figure out what im doing wrong and what the yellowing on the leaf edges and the new growth shoots is from id appreciate it! Im thinking i might need to let the coco dry out a little more because maybe im not letting them get to the nutes because the coco is too wet. I thought i was underfeeding but am not sure because of the deformed growth i was seeing on the new shoots i thought i might have burned them but that doesnt make sense to me as the plant is not very dark and not seeing very much burn on the edges, just yellowing and deformed growth. I can try to upload pics if i need to let me know. Just the last couple days asingle blade on a fan leaf clawed and then a newer leaf also clawed but its not very noticable. Dont know if this is a cal mag problem or if im just not feeding enough. Any help is appreciated guys

Yes it does sound like cal mag and or possibly potassium....which could actually be iron lock out....if you can try to find the ph of your run off as this will let you know if that is the case...anything above 7.3 will begin to show signs of potassium def due to iron lock out...your watering seems scheme seems a little off....I usually water as the lights go off to prevent ph fluctuations while the plant is taking up nutes....also most people water then take two days off...I also try to keep the top of soil damp on non watering days so the soil stays un-compacted.....also as I'm sure you known coco likes to hold in a lot of salts and I believe it likes to be flushed every so now and then to keep them from being built up! Also to look into an Epsom salt foliar spray, and or eggshell, as this will correct the yellowing in as little
as 5-8 hrs!!

Thank you for your reply. My run off has been a solid 5.8 or 5.9 every time. I have been watering every day with runoff to avoid salt build up and because at first i was getting deficiencies from letting them dry out too much. I was watering before lights off but a couple days ago i switched to watering after the lights turned on. Thanks for any and all help!

Sorry for the duplicates my phone is not cooperating lol she seems to be doing better than when she woke up actually but here she is. I just sexed her and this was the only female from a 6 pack so i really want to keep her healthy. This is a southern comfort from Socal Seed Co

Ah almost forgot this one. This ia the new shoot with the deformed blade. There is a couple others but this is the worst of the very new shoots. I did just prune the plant a few days ago so i expected the growth to slow for a couple days but she is growing really slow right now. She was just exploding with growth up until then

This is going to sound strange but from the looks of it you may be in the early stages of N def. Often lack of N will start to show signs of too much N like twisted growth...but the with yellowing the daily flushing and the fact that coco doesn't break down fast enough I'd say that makes the most sense.

In my experience if you don't have something like worm castings or compost in with the coco then You wouldn't flush with plain water just back off your salts or dilute your formula every other feeding if your running into nutrients building up

Hey thank so much for the help man! I called AN and they told me to bump up the nutes aswell. I was leaning toward an overall lack of nutes like you and they both are saying. They did say that if i use closer to full strength i shouldnt need cal mag. This is what i am most confused about right now is whether or not to use cal mag especially since i am not using a coco specific nutrient and the non coco sensi grow has no iron and my cal mag plus does so im sure the extra iron would be good. I do not use MH all the way thru i just use it for veg and then plan on using hps. Thanks for the compliments on how it looks otherwise! :] this plant is actually going to be a mother plant and that is why i havent pruned very much yet. If i was planning to flower her i would have chopped and pruned it more than i have
