I have 1 plant in a 20 gal smart pot using roots organic soil with a 1000 watt metal halide bulb. Using the full line of heavy 16. Im thinking about making a 4x4 wooden structure with a trellis to continue LST and fill the 4x4 area with more areas for budding. Im just trying to see if anyone can throw me out some ideas in making one big yield out of one plant.

damn a 1000W MH for 1 plant thats a powerful bulb, anyway I assume you've looked at the ScrOG method? Just train it around under a screen and you should get a bunch of bud sites all at the same height so that they don't block the light out for the other buds. Good luck though and enjoy!

Dude, it sounds like you've got it down. No real need to do anything else. Do exactly as you said and you'll be good. If I had to nit pick I'd say try to get a HPS, but if all you have is that MH I wouldn't worry about it at all.
