My friend gave it to me with the main shoot cut off will fimming allow more tops shoots to come in or is it just stuck with side branches
(New to this as you can tell)
I work with supercritical carbon dioxide extractions but have no idea how to grow go figure :)

Should be ok . But she's probably seen better days. Stem looks like has been repairing itself plus where branching used to be. Don't top or FIM anymore let shoots come in on their own . Put her in a 3 gallon pot ( at least ) - you can " setup " her new home by
pre-moistening soil ( not drenched ) in the new pot . Add some perlite to allow more drainage.

Ok awesome I really appreciate this :D

Whoa... Now that is an interesting looking plant...

One thing I find really odd is how the main stem is surprisingly thick and sturdy, and seems to lack the typical coloring and texture.

I'd say, at this point, your best bet is to transplant her into some certified organic soil, give her nutes/water as needed, and hope for the best. Also, I'm assuming you're growing outdoors, but if this is an indoor grow, I highly suggest you give her a nice long veg period. She's pretty stunted it seems, so you'll want to give her as much time to recuperate and grow more leaf matter as possible.

It's actually indoor and yes I am going to let her veg for maybe a month or two does that seem good I have high ceilings height is not an issue
I thought so (being stunted) my friend really abused it I got the plant and the leaves were all yellow and wilted with white spots all over

Looks like it was used as a mother and alot of clones was taken and then passed along to you , I would depending on what your trying to achieve , Big plant , small plant ? I would do some pruning and get some tops , also as stated already pot up , probally root bound , but looks healthy regards , lets see what you can do with her.

I'd say a month to 6 weeks of veg would be good for this girl. Like I said, she's lagging behind right now, so she's going to need time not only to grow bigger and stronger, but to undo some of the damage that's been done. Any longer than a month and half is probably unnecessary, but if she still seems small or weak after that time, give her another 2 weeks, and if she's still struggling, she's probably doomed.

I believe that's what he did since he has an aerogarden
moderately big plant maybe 5 foot in total

What parts would I be pruning if I decided to take that route (it has two shoots that were fimmed and are now growing) do those count as tops since the main stem was cut by my friend?

Actually after looking at your picture further , if its worth keeping do the same tie that top down get a couple good shoots popping up and clone , then work with the clone and or clones. Which will allow you a fresh start , not someones leftovers.
