I've had no issues except first transitioning to flower, the stems got real droopy like they were super cropped but wern't. I did an immediate flush and they turned around after 2-3 days.

No something is off. It looks like you have some weird leaf structure happening as well, makes me think reveg. Can't really tell by the pictures what's happening in the bud, possibly Nanners though. Need better pictures

ok, these are the highest and best quality pictures I can take, so hopefully it helps.

I'm concerned about these really yellow/white looking spots or nodes that looks like weird growth. I know the sugar leaves look funky, but the crystals are just starting to form the last couple days. First time with this strain, its starting to get a great smell already. The net pets are spaced above the water 1 inch or so, the roots look nice, white and clean, except right around the net pot it looks a little brownish, not much and doesn't smell or anything maybe from nutes being sprayed up top. PH has been golden 5.8-6.0 the whole grow.

If it looks normal let me know, it's just this one is the first stem showing these signs so I want to correct it if possible. Besides the nitrogen toxicity (tips of leaves turned downwards), which will be scaled down next feeding.
please give me any thoughts or suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Yes... I mix those every week. Last grow was NYPD (nirvana) and a random bagseed with about 75% of those nutes, I have added some this grow. The NYPD had the biggest nugs I've seen, I have pictures on this forum somewhere from a different but similar setup. One nug was about the size of a milk gallon prechopped. But I had some serious nutrient burn (twice the nutes two week feeding schedule) and light burn that grow from a crazy final stretch, I have learned a few things, but always room to learn more.

I have never re-vegged under 12/12. You would have to toxify that bitch with N to abort flowering in 12/12 id bet, but it never happened to me so i wouldnt know. If it were me, i would have dropped 50-70% of N in the 3rd week flower,then starve the bitch completly of N the last 3 weeks but it doesnt always work that way. My blue dreams for example get pissed when i back off the nitrogen lol. You are 100% positive no light leaks? Also, if she is truly re-vegging most of the buds will stop growing and start shrinking and stretching again , each top will also start shooting out single blades not just 1 or two tops. It is possible just bad genetics from seed that doesnt like that much N. How close to the light is the tops on pic 9 & 10?

Keep an eye on the tops. If they get brighter and the sugar leaves start folding in more start with backing off the light. Sometimes early light bleaching can be hard to see. How much water do they drink up compared to your previous grow? Same setup correct?

Last grow i had bad heat problems so i got an ac this run. I can raise the light maybe a few inches than im maxed.

Different setup this grow.... last grow was a 6 gal tub with 6 - 4 inch pots. This is 4 - 5 gal - 10 inch pots, with a 5 gal sump (25 gal total)

There is two plants. They drink about 5 gal a week. Maybe a little more or less. Thats what ive been refilling.

I've never seen a plant do this before... Like others have mentioned, I'd claim revegg, but considering you've had this girl on a timer and check your lights like a good little ganja farmer, I don't see how that could happen. If it was revegging, it wouldn't have formed its original leaves in that strange shape. Frankly, I'm just gonna say either freakish genetics or some chemical combination in all that juice you're using. I'd suggest keeping it simple, there's no reason for all that stuff, you're only adding more variables to deal with and really gaining little to no benefit. However, all that aside, she looks healthy to me. No nute burn, a little frost on the buds... Just lay off the nutes for a bit and let her finish her cycle, I think she'll be fine.

Ok sounds good. I just fluahed the sump. Only fresh water right now. Will have a lighter nitro feed this go. I moved thr lights up another 6 to 12 inches. I also rearranges the set up some. Also did a black out check... no light leaks.

Here are a bunch of update pics, hopefully it will help with diagnosis. This is 3 days since last pictures.

I rearranged my set up some, I raise the light as high as I could and moved it more towards the lower plant. The plant in front is master kush fem from nirvana. it looks like it may have some of the same issues, but not as apparent. I gave them a clean flush of ph'd water for 24 hours. I also moved the plants back to front. The nirvana bubbalicious fem is in back, and nirvana master kush fem is up front. Besides the weird growths, the nugs are starting to fill out. Hopefully they get way fatter. It's going to be a trimming nightmare. As long as it smokes good, no worries.

Started week 5 nutes.
1 oz grow - 2 oz micro - 3 oz bloom
1.5 oz b52
1.5 oz bud candy
1.5 oz sensizym
1.5 oz nirvana

I cut back on nitrogen and adjusted the feeding, hopefully this doesn't starve them or ruin any bud quality or production. After the feeding they drank about 5 gallons in one day. They must have enjoyed it because those pictures are from after, looking healthy besides the weird growth issues. I'll keep it updated, please keep posting ideas or suggestions. I ahve several changes coming next grow for sure.

I honestly wouldn't worry to much about it. Maybe tone down the amount of nutes you use. The simpler the better.

Ok thanks. I'm just nervous because this type of growth is new to me. So just trying to learn as much as I can along the way.

The zipper does have a slight light leak. this was discovered before seeds were even started. That's why I bought a room divider, that I use to wrap around my tent. It's a 4 panel dorm divider, it's pretty legit. But this is in a room that is hardly used, mainly just to check on plants. Black out curtains all pinned up. Even the ventilation outside is circled 360 a couple times (no bent tubing, just naturally circled) to prevent light penetration.

What should I use for nutes that are simple and will produce good yields for hydro? This is my second grow and I have upgraded pretty well, so next grow will be set up even better. I'm not rich but am doing best I can. Also is there better seedbank than nirvana that people recommend? The clones from dispensaries are rare out here and when I do see them they are poor looking.

With the diagnosis as reveg or bad genetics. If reveg, what week would you put these plants on. Or what day of flower? I'm on feeding schedule week 5. I plan to feed 3 more weeks and flush for 2. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks.

Personally I think your buds are looking righteous, if this is a novice grow for you, you're doing exceedingly well, considering the fact that they don't look to be damaged by nutes or anything like that whatsoever. In fact, I'm impressed at how well you were able to mix nutes to acheive an effective, non-burning formula...

With that being said, I think the other fellows are right, simple is always the best. One reason you're experiencing some minor issues right now is because you have too many variables. Too many variables = too many things to try and figure out when something goes wrong. So, in terms of nute, many people will recommend Fox Farm, especially the Organic Big Bloom fertilizer for flowering. This will definitely get the job done for you. Also, remember to feed plants at roughly half the suggested dosage- always go down, never up, that way you'll avoid nasty burning issues and whatnot.

As for your plant's age, flowering, etc. I'd say she looks to be pretty far into her growth cycle, perhaps week 5 or 6 of flower? However, the strange thing is, despite your buds starting to look so fat and mature, your pistils continue to stay white, almost an unnatural white, as most pistils remain a light greenish color until turning amber. Odd...

I'd say, you need to become friends with simplicity. It would be so much easier to figure out what the issue was if you weren't adding so many variables to your equipment. Make your life simpler, and diagnosing the issue would be easier. But overall, good job, just keep up the good work.

I think the pistils look crazy white maybe because of my flash on camera. I had to switch of the hps to take the pictures so it was completely dark when the picture and flash went off. Took a few attempts to get best focus I could. lol. I would say they are more creamy looking in person than a white.

Before my first grow, I read a lot. Esp on these forums. Than I had my grow and kept posting and asking. First grow was nice, 4 plants (2 nypd fem nirvana and 2 random bagseed) about 10 ounces cured. That set up was a lot simpler, but was nothing but problem after problem. That's when I found out about nute strength, advanced nutrients I always have to start with a 1/4 strength, and usually finish around 1/3 to 1/2 strength if im lucky. I tried to shift the ratios a little earlier and you can barely notice a burn at the tips so I shifted back down before anything happened. I also thoroughly mix all the nutes together in a separate container before adding to the sump. Nothing is directly added, not even ph solution; I found this to be the optimum route for me and have had solid numbers the entire grow. Last time it was a nightmare with ph fluctuations and nute burn.

Is there a reason people prefer fox farms over advanced nutrients? Cost? I mainly ask because I don't see a lot of people use advanced nutrients and I don't understand why. My first grow was horrible at every step, but only problem I had was the nute burn last grow from my own mistakes. It still produced very good smoke. But I always see people using other stuff with a bunch of deficiencies.


I know the mixing sounds tedious, but It could be worse the original game plan was smaller feedings and using different nutes on different feeding days. It really isnt that bad though, maybe 5 minutes for nutes, just like cooking, measure pour stir and mix., and than about 30 min for a full system flush. I feed once a week, and add fresh water every couple days. Besides checking up on them I don't really have to do much except rearrange stuff as needed.

I have been researching some organic hydro mixtures for a future grow. I might try the fox farms out, is it just a simple one type solution?

ill update some pics in a few weeks and see what she looks like. The buds are starting to look nicer by the day though.

I've never dabbled with advanced nutrients, but I think one reason people choose Fox Farm is simply because it's quality. The Big Bloom in particular is certified organic and they source the ingredients in humane ways. Not to mention, all those lovely organic nutes are simply delicious to the ganja plant and they really seem to take to them quite well. I've never heard anything bad about Fox Farm nutes... Soil maybe, but not nutes.
