Hey all. Long time grower, new to the forum. So I've heard of people having similar problems with cali connection feminized seeds. I got five feminized cali connection Tahoe og from the attitude. 4 weeks in and all five are starting to show male flowers. I've never seen any thing like this. It sucks considering I paid 20 bucks per seed. Anyone else have any similar experience. Thanks, loo

Yeah I tossed em and cut my losses. I just wanted to share my experience and try to prevent others from having to lose out as well. My research into cali connection seeds has shown that I'm not the only one having poor experience with there genetics. I live in a competive quality driven growing market and belive we should expect the same of our seed suppliers.

Of all the strains he has, the Tahoe was supposed to be stable. If that's fucked up, oh boy.
Not sure if I have seen anyone say that Tahoe was stable.
I am pretty sure most people say anything CC is unstable. That is the whole thing with CC, it is a crapshoot.
They are definitely a buyer beware breeder.
I prefer the Buddha Tahoe, but the Tahoe line is the best representative of clone OGs from seed that I have come across.
Also, OG certainly has the tendancy to hermie, anytime you grow OG you should keep that in mind.

At one time, Swerve was all over the net, responding to anyone who had anything to say about his genetics.

Not sure about now, but I thought his website (Cali Connections) had its own forum. If that's still up, you might want to start there.
When I was checking his stuff out in the past, he seemed to respond to people regularly - although he can come off as a little unstable himself from time to time.
But, that's how lots of breeders are - so not going to slam him for being a bit eccentric.

On a positive note, I can't speak for Cali Connections, but I got some Grand Daddy Purps (regular) that hermied on me big time, but it was such good smoke, I'm still running them - only now, I baby them so they hermie really late and the most I get is immature pinhead seeds along with a few acorns. In fact, I'm about a week away from flipping a few right now.

I've had friends try the seeds from the first time when I didn't catch what was going on until the very end - they haven't said they had any hermie issues.

And, I know someone who had one Barny's Tahoe (feminized) hermie on them, they caught it right away & pinched off the bananas - they said that one was the strongest smoke out of the 5 seeds they ran.

Soooo - I wouldn't purposely breed anything that hermies or purposely buy anything you know might hermie, but I wouldn't automatically toss the seeds once I had them .... but, I'm a little bit of a risk taker when it comes to that kind of thing & I hate to waste anything once I've spent good money on it. .

I think the only fem'd seeds I ever got that grew well and were stable was Greenhouse's Cheese seeds. I can't justify spending $ 20 a seed, when I can pick up packs of gear from breeders like Bodhi, ISP, and Chimera for $ 8 a seed or less, and that's factoring in shipping. Some of their stuff is even available now at Great Lakes Genetics. Which is cool, because no customs to worry about.

Thanks for all the replies. These were beyond herms. They basically auto flowered at 4 weeks and we're all male flowers

That is true on pricing and plants grown from reg seeds tend to be more stable but.....

It's hard to space plan when you pop 10 regs and you don't know how many females you end up with, that's the x factor and the risk.

Swerve has replied to my facebook messages numerous times when i asked questions about his genetics UNTIL i got a pack of GSC fems and every single seed in the pack was male and i messaged him about it. Facebook says that he read the message. I tried again a couple times, always polite about it and he ignored me. First time i ever seen malenized seed. Pisses me off considering the moolah i have spent with his company over the years.

Everything ive ran from cali connection has hermied hard except for one bean out of six (i forget the strain). But everything from every other strain hermd.

That one that did finish was dank as hell though. They made it onto to my list of breeders not to buy from.

I still have a pack of buddah tahoes, some gsc and some other fem beans from them, I'm not even tempted to crack them after all the shit ive read about herms. Swerve should change the company name to Herm Connection lol

The seeds I received three out of the five seeds in the breeder pack were cracked open. I tried emailing with no response.

It's Herm Hermin' livin the jet set life.

Now I hate to spread any drama but ever since that Mel Hempseed lady leaked his dick pics, his business has taken a turn for the worse. His stuff used to be excellent. Not to mention him making an ass out of himself to the entire industry on a few occasions.

Lol, did he ever possess swagger? He seems like he's always been a dick ha ha. I have heard stories of old cali conn gear being fire but for the last few years, all i hear is herms! Got too big for his boots by the sound of it!

Pretty much. He was posting pictures of his receipts from dinner where he ran up $10K tabs, and then he got caught up cheating on his lady by the chick that spread his dick pics all over the internet. Im sure theyre still there too. Herm Hermin learned the infamous internet nudes lesson a couple years ago lol
