Best NPK Ratio for Veg and Flower

Does anyone ever get dark green leaves from using 3-1-2? I've gotten it with Foliage Pro and now with Heavy 16 which is closer to 3-1-3. I get dark green leaves and red petioles.

Been using 1-1-1 these past two weeks to see if the red petioles disappear. Just GH micro/bloom 1:1 equates to a 5-5-5.
I think the dark green leaves is possibly a dosage issue.

Hello again I am in flowering and i am using like I told you my 20 20 20 npk I read that changing the npk in flowering will give me bigger better buds is this true or I will be ok continuing my schedule thanks ...

Yeah? I've gotten it in like .8EC (400ppm) on a 2 foot late veg plant. I never exceed 1.2-1.5EC even in late flower. This is DWC under a 600w.
I think those flower feeding levels are high but to each their own. I wouldn't recommend a 3-1-2 for flowering in hydro. A 1-1-1 would work better and a 1-2-2 would be even better yet.

Would FP/Bloom for the first three weeks of flower in rdwc at a 3:1 1:1 1:3 work well?

Finally bit the bullet and bought FP for veg instead of grow.

Foliage pro has a lot of N in it so it's not going to take much to keep those plants green later on in flower. Experiment and take notes. I think you only really need enough to keep the plants green.

I've never used FP, but I know that it has a higher amount of ammonium N than most formulas. I think FP is most comparable to AN connoisseur, which I think is also relatively high in ammonium for a hydro mix.

Ammonium based N is known for making leaves a darker green, almost a glossy green color, while nitrate N does not do this, even at toxic levels of nitrate.

So grow would be a better choice in your opinion Haze?

Haven't opened it so I can return it.

Your info is pretty mixed up there. 3-1-2 for veg though I've found 1-1-1 works just as well. 1-3-2 for flower is by far the best NPK ratio I've tried thus far.

Too much P locks out Zinc, Iron, and Copper. Not sure where you're getting N from.
You seem to know your nutes, what is a optimal veg to bloom to flower npk ratio?

so if I added several different ammendments to a super soil with varying npk ratios, how do I get what NPK is in my soil. say I add 1-0-0 ewc 3-16-0 fish bone meal, 2.5-0.5-2.5 alfalfa, 4-3-0 crab meal, 1-0.-1-2 kelp? what npk ratio is in my soil at the point my bennies are there doing their job and everything is in tip top shape?
