So is bedrocan bailing out on the Canadian market? I just skimmed through the articles...
No. This just means they have a new boss. The idea is it makes one strong company who can then begin to eat up the smaller ones. Expect more soon. Tilray has been itching to buy an LP, and rumour is they may buy Peace Naturals. This is the trajectory of any corporate structure, and why the MMPR will never benefit patients. Repeal prohibition, we don't need it 'legalized' we need it normalized. Fuck the corporations, every last one.

bedrocan canada sounds to me like they are completely different entity than bedrocan in holland, like they bought the rights to the name, strains and marketing for canada.. they are probably laughing all the way to the bank.. probably if you looked at their business plan it was only 18 months long..

Toronto-based Bedrocan has a licensing partnership with Dutch medical marijuana producer Bedrocan BV, which currently supplies the Canadian company’s product.

:"Tweed and Bedrocan Canada represent distinct market segments that appeal to different consumer needs."
Which different consumer needs are they talking about? I thought we all needed affordable quality medicine.
Bedrocan knows how to grow pot, Tweed doesn't.
That's the big difference.

They were selling Bedrocan product, but they made it very clear in the beginning that they would be opening 2 facilities here in Canada. I think the biggest problem is that the market didn't mature like it was expected and we're 1 year in with legal threats, government nonsense and all sorts of shit. The Tweed buyout was probably a dream come true.

Not a buy out but a merger, big difference.

Only a big difference depending on who stays on staff and who paid who.
A merger where one company replaces all the high level staff at the other company and pays them a royalty or lump payment is essentially a buyout.
Will be on the next Tweed investor call to find out.

I'll give ou some insight lp's will never be profitable under the mmpr!
I will share some with you...there has been tons of money made already....you don't have to sell weed to make a lot of money as an LP shareholder.
Lots of investors are happy with their returns.
