This part would be very easy to overcome. Like you said, just have a few people involved. Laundering the money would be a lot more difficult.

tilray laid off the 60 employees cause they aren't selling, they had to borrow 75mill last week just to keep aflowt.

So you're saying they risked losing a 20 million dollar business by selling product out the back door for *less* than they sell it on their website, in order to make a few thousand here and there??
They have no surplus product, they've been out of stock of almost everything for 6 months now.
Why would ANYONE sell in bulk out the back door for less than the $12 a gram they charge on the front end? That makes NO sense.
cause they aren't selling any! if they had 2000 patients buying a few oz of 9$ mj wouldn't equal what is spent on a site that large, hydro is prob mega large, do they own the site or leaseÉ borrow the start up $É all the staff for a yr, and everything else to get going.

I got zero sympathy for people who planned on getting rich from the sick and then loose their shirts selling MJ.
That concept enrages me with the sheer hypocrisy and double standard of that pursuit.
As I have said a thousand times here. They were perfectly happy to jail me in the past and now want my money instead. Cause they fucked up the economy wasting money on the war on drugs...Holy fuckin stupid idea. Just think of how they could have wasted that money on other stupid shit if they had more sense.
Now they say " hey Bill, well that war on drugs thing didn't seem to work
So they then say " Let's just sell it ourselves and cash in "
