Yeah ph was 6.5 when I started but will take your other advice on board when I start then next batch. May try just 2 next time to get it right as I have 6 ww seeds left.

Cheers, wish I'd have started with one or two but wasn't expecting them to fail after having decent results with my photo Shivas previously. Yeah, once I get it right it'll be good... May try just one and if it goes well I can always start the other afterwards I guess... Don't want to waste seeds really.

I know many advise against it BUT .... you could just start them in party cups let them dry up a little at the 1.5-2 week mark and plant them in the final container ..... if youre any good at stress less transplanting then they will be fine ..... may not be beast mode maximum yield every time ... but they would start and grow just fine as long as the tap root doesnt get damaged

i used to transplant every auto, and nothing seemed to ever go wrong. yield was avg 4+ oz.
being careful is the point.
I'm really careful transplanting which is why I never saw it as an issue, however, I received so much advice at the start from ppl more experienced than myself with autos who advised going straight to final size pots and telling me that transplanting is a bad idea as the plants don't recover from it... I think this is what undid me.... Larger pots and perhaps a bad soil choice this time led me to perhaps overwatering which they don't seem to be recovering from. Did anyone see the black spots on the leaves of the shots I posted earlier and any ideas what they are? Other than black spots of course!
