My wife says that I need to drink more water. She actually might be correct. But how do you drink more water? It's so fucking boring. "Excuse me while I go drink this water". Boring. So what's the secret to drinking more water? Do you masturbate while you do it? Do you add something to it, like crystal light or cocaine? I drink about a pot of coffee a day. Does that count towards the total? My wife says no. But I know there's fucking water in there! So I need your help! How do I drink more water? What's your secret?

I read that everything you drink (minus alcohol) add to your "water count" or some shit. Coffee, Tea, Juice, Pop are all mostly water.

It's better to have something without caffeine and sugar, because those are not great for you in excess. But any who - thats what this article read.

I love water! I might be boring but I just like it. I prefer it to all other non-alcoholic beverages.

I also like orange Fruitopia. Thats about it though.

Your coffee definately counts as part of your water intake.
I only drink pepsi but when i asked my dr about it he said 75% of the can is water so about a cup of water per can. Lol
I agree that drinking water without sugar and caffeine is better for you but its pretty boring.

I quit drinking pop for two years by switching to bottled water with kool aid in it. I lost 57 lbs.

Usually once you feel the symptoms of dehydration, it takes a while (or never) to "catch up" using oral liquid rehydration (vs. IV). I use a plastic liter bottle filled with reg non cooled tap water with just a little bit of lemon in it. Non-cooled so i can chug it without the headache. If I'm not doing anything strenuous, I try to drink at least three of these a day, excluding any coffee or pop. If I'm really sweating doing something, I try for 1 liter per hour or 2, occasionally tossing in a Emergen-C packet or equiv. I don't use sports drinks to rehydrate. Also make sure you keep up with your magnesium and potassium intake and don't skip meals. As far as it being boring, you just have to say FIDO and drink. There's a real science to this but that's the jist of it.

Skin Turgor

Skin turgor is the skin's ability to change shape and return to normal (elasticity).

Skin turgor is a sign used by health care workers to assess fluid loss or dehydration. Fluid loss can occur from common conditions, such as diarrhea or vomiting. Infants and young children with vomiting, diarrhea, and decreased or no fluid intake can rapidly lose a significant amount of fluid. Fever speeds up this process.

To determine skin turgor, the health care provider grasps the skin on the back of the hand, lower arm, or abdomen between two fingers so that it is tented up. The skin is held for a few seconds then released.

Skin with normal turgor snaps rapidly back to its normal position. Skin with decreased turgor remains elevated and returns slowly to its normal position.

Decreased skin turgor is a late sign in dehydration. It occurs with moderate to severe dehydration. Fluid loss of 5% of the body weight is considered mild dehydration, 10% is moderate, and 15% or more is severe dehydration.

The easiest way to check to see if you're sufficiently hydrated is to taste your piss. Is it mellow and light? You're fine. If it's fruity and gamey, or of a thick consistency, you probably have aids. I don't like the taste of mine, so I trick others into tasting it. Often, they are initially angry at the ruse, but if they really care about you they'll see it's for a good cause...

Step 1: Acquire water bottle...I like Fiji cause it makes me look like a pretentious douche.
Step 2: Empty out above mentioned water bottle of all contents. Try not to get any on you, it stains.
Step 3: Fill with vodka or clear liquor of your choice. Cheaper the better, extra points if it comes in a plastic bottle.
Step 4: ??????????
Step 5: Strut around the house naked like a boss, dangle your dingle in front of the wife at every chance.
