with dwc I would guess the constant nutrients and water flow would require less of an EC

the red is hard to say... some times some strains just have it.... It could be low N in some cases but not in yours

I have had it in veg and I felt it got better with a bit more P or at least that's what I guessed...

Yes, it's PM. I did use green cure.

When I tried this my results were unsatisfactory; yield suffered, quality suffered and some of the plants simply tasted bad!

I'm in Colorado, where we are currently just finishing up the wettest spring in memory. This has made everything far more humid than usual and has made it a real struggle to contain RH.

I was chasing the pm with green cure and ended up spraying two frequently which burned up the leaves a bit this spring

Believe it or not, just the act of thoroughly wetting a PM spot will kill it. The trick is to get it fully wet, and that's why it's powdery; to prevent wetness. The Green Cure has a surfactant (soap) and potassium bicarbonate. The soap makes it easier to wet the PM, and the bicarb it's there to raise leaf surface pH and make it harder for the PM to reinfest the plant.

I'm as interested in your doser setup as I am in how you mix your chems. How does that work?

I just wonder if the issue witht he bad taste could have been related to something other than low EC

low EC in most cases improves taste which is why some people flush

low EC could obviously lower yield but casue bad taste seems strange

but again that's just my experience

I found the whole episode to be very strange. First, the bad taste only affected one plant of the batch, the others were okay- if not great. Second, we were following the label on bottles of House & Garden brand nutrients- they're a very well known and expensive nutrient line.

Compared to dry nutes, I found them to be inflexible and incredibly expensive.

then dosatron
then third filter
then irrigation solenoid valve plugged into a timer which turns the water or valve on or off to feed the drip system

under each dosatron is trash cans A&B

A gets all the nitrates and iron
B gets the sulphates and micros and mpk

By the way, you're the first person I've spoken to who's tried using sulfuric acid from the auto parts store as their pH down solution. I ran it and it worked fine for me. I'm not using it at the moment, as I got a great deal on some Mad Farmer 'Get Down'. It does the same thing...

my dosatron mixes at a ratio of 128:1

so every gallon of water that comes in from the well gets 1 ounce of concentrate
