PH Water Run off VERY low

I'm a second time grower, I've been using AN Grow A+B during veg (Perfect PH range) and checking the PH with an indicator each time before it goes in usually at 6.5.. Now, this whole veg period i never once checked the run off, as i presumed what as going in must be coming out, give or take a drop of 1 PH which i read somewhere on the webs, but after there was a lot of run off during watering, i decided to check and the PH was very LOW i talking in the 2-3 bright orange nearly.. but the plants aren't looking any different, all very green but i read that could also be a sign somethings not right.. i thought this was going to get easier, some advice would be great!

Don't worry about it, pH of run-off and pH in soil is two different things. Soil I am using has run-off ph of 4.9 from start till the end. If you start messing with the pH by flushing or adding stuff like dolomite lime etc your plants will die.

Thanks, your probably right, after a not so great first grow, i was probably just wondering if it was linked!

The run-off will usually contain a higher percentage of salts, thus giving you a different pH. Just make sure you're not getting salt build up in your soil. I'd check the ppm or ec next time. Will still be higher then what goes in, obviuosly, but just make sure its not getting too high.

Yes, that would make sense. To be quite honest, i haven't even learnt about ppm, i've seen the term around here and there, but put off learning it ha, didn't wanna add another complexity, maybe this is my next step.

Nothing complicated, don't over-think it. Its just a measurement of dissolved salts in the solution. A $20 meter will get you started.
