Leaves Curling Downwards/Wispy Tips (flowering)

Hello fellow GC'ers, it's been a bit!



There are 3 ladies going at the moment, one is almost done in a separate cabinet and the other two are a few weeks into flowering, both in the same cabinet. The two that are together started to get a little funky, and it's continuing. First, let me tell you the mix I used.



Please don't crucify me for using Fox Farms, I had a "crisis" at one point and had to use what was nearby.



32 cups FF Ocean Forest

32 cups FF Happy Frog

16 cups Espoma Perlite

6 tbsp Espoma Garden Lime

5 tbsp Azomite

6 tbsp mycorrhizae

4 tbsp Espoma Tomato Tone

1/2 cup kelp meal

Worm Power EWC (didn't write down how much I used)



I left this to cook for 6 weeks.



The one girl that is in a separate cabinet is almost done and did not have this problem. The other problematic two were a bit behind. They were transplanted into their final pots with the above mix as they were switched to 12/12. A few weeks later, I started noticing the leaves. Admittedly, I should have seen it sooner. I flushed them yesterday, and while holding the recently flushed pot I wondered if I hadn't been giving them enough water. They are in 6 quart (192 oz) containers, and I would give them 22 oz of water every 3-4 days, watering them just before they would start to wilt. There were 3 or 4 times that I had been late and they had wilted for a day.



The first two pics are plant #1, the last three are plant #2. These two are kept in a cabinet that is usually around 75*F lights on and 72*F lights off. It currently has a 50/50 mix of 6500K CFL's to 2700K CFL's because I haven't gone to the store yet to get more 2700's. If the meter has been correct, it's been staying at 35% humidity. The first girl that I mentioned (the one in a different cabinet that's almost finished) was given the same soil mix and the same water, and hasn't had these problems. The cabinet that one stays in is generally a little warmer. Aside from what i've mentioned, they look good and smell great. Is this merely a cause of water/moisture stress?

Would love to know what you are feeding them. Seeing as your water schedule seems fine. All 3 plants in same soil, environment, nutes? Looks like it could be high temp.(Heat stress) 35% humidity? Where do you live, in a desert? That is very low, around 60% is normal.

looks like a lot of lime for a stabilized mix, more lime than nutrients..
also waiting for them to wilt is too long, but you know that already..
I think it's the lime.
manganese or aluminum poisoning.
As funny as it sounds, considering I can't remember the last time I said this... but...
have you checked you ph?
gonna guess it's in the 5s... or low 6s
just a guess though.

They aren't being fed any additional nutes, it's a water-only mix. They've had one AACT applied two weeks or so into flowering (all three got that). Funny that you mentioned the humidity, I just looked and it's at 60% lol.

LOL I haven't checked my pH. Also something I'm glad to say I haven't said in a while.

who told you to add so much lime to an already "limed" mix?
if you were adding to a base of peat, that'd be different, but those mixes are already "limed" so you don't need it, also depending on the particle size, it may be lowering your ph too much.
those are around 6.5 or so without the lime.
adding is undoubtedly lowering your PH.
Much lower than 6 and they get pissed...
And you are correct they are a dark green, typically manifested from over feeding, but you said you didn't.
I can't give you advice on flushing.
Based on the information you provided I can't tell you whats wrong.
my hunch was PH, but if one of the three plants grown with the same soil... well logic would dictate your problem is lying with an issue that is ONLY affecting those two plants.
watering, temps, etc.
need pics of the container, and the soil.
too much EWC can "cake" up a lil, especially if you wait until they droop to water, makes the soil tension too high/tight to allow the water to fully soak into the soil, which will piss the plants off.
but those pics don't look like that.
those pics look like you fed too much.
