insulated ducting is WAY to thick. think the problem is the fan and ducting. fan may be to low, causing more ducting to be needed. as stated above, the less duct the better. put the dct to the fan and out the room, the longer that air is in the room, within the duct or not, its gonna create heat. less duct means less heat.
you have way too much ducting, and its going in the wronfg direction. sending it down under the light makes the air in there even hotter, so you made a heater for the room. what goes on under that think the ducting is hooked into, the fan? your just blowing hot air around the room. air has to both enter and exit the area in order for there to be any reason to it.
seems like alot going on in there for a light. do you even really need to air cool? the less duct, the better. the more away from the light it goes, the better, the faster the air leaves the room, the better.
tuf to tell from pic what goes on in there....... alot of ducting going to a fan that blows the air right back through to the same spot and repeats. intake to cool the light, exhaust to cool the area.
if your blowin the same air around in there, which it seems is going on, it wont get cooler.....
good luck
