I am doing an outdoor grow and wanted to experiment with some LST. The plan was to have two plants growing horizontal towards each other along the top to maximize space.
The problem is that the small one in the back, after making it to 5 weeks old, doesn't look as though its going to reach the top of the cage.
My question is, should i lower the side the bigger plant is on to about one foot (the top of the middle ring on the tomatoe cage) thus creating a 45° angle, instead of letting it grow to the top where it is now and then going horizontal with it? This is an older pic, but the bigger one has already reached the top of the cage. Or should I leave it alone?
