I had this same conversation with my 14 year old Son...

It went like this...

"to think they actually pay people for what they spew is just right out to lunch...
I know tons that are very good at it. (:"

That cheaply done commercial may have cost a penny or two but what did they care... it didn't cost them a thing. :)
yeah...it cost us as tax payers

If they spent half the money they do on anti pot ads and put it to good use on pharma opiates we would all be better off. That shit is down rite dangerous and can take your life the 1st time or the 1000th time...more pills for more side affects. Still hurt? Here's more!! Achs and pains? Here's some dilaudid. Still not working? Let's bump ya up to fentanyl patchs!!

they gave my wife methadone for pain...not only is the withdrawal from a small dose-10mg-horrible, you get nerve twitches and the spiders under the skin....since it oxidizes in your bones, it takes longer to get out of your system. it's easier to get off heroin than methadone. at least heroin doesn't get into the bones. it took a month before then twitching was gone...that crap is just plain evil! along with the other pharma pain meds. i can see taking them for short term but long term, find something else!

It's all evil shit, almost lost my wife to pills. Told her I'm taking over and in 2 months I had her dabbing like a son of a gun and off of 21 pills.
we did it with oil.
i was offered Lyrica to help with sleep......uhm, i said not a chance would i EVER take that. it's in the gabapentin family and that crap is really hard to get off...horrible withdrawl and it takes a very long time to get out of your system

LYRICA....is the devil....though when I was in agony at an ER....one time..
and asked the doctor there for an epidural or traction....or some other kind of hands on medicine...because
nothing was working.....first he went the...."we don't dispense pain meds here at the ER....its policy..." route...
to which I sneered at him...and pulled out a huge handful of hardcore pain meds....and said I didn't come here for pain meds...I came here to have you stretch my spine...or make me numb... euthanize me.....something...anything...
to which he wrote me a prescription for lyrica...150mg 3 times daily...and walked out of the room....
I have been taking it now for about 4 years...and it worked for nerve pain and re-routing of nerve sensations...

When I tried to come off of it this summer....I even took two weeks off work,,,,to taper and then jump off...
well let me tell you....the withdrawl is no joke....I have withdrawn from just about every opiate...or opioid...
and would have rather withdrawn from any or all of them....when compared to lyrica....
two weeks off only began to touch the withdrawls.. the physical symptoms lasted over a month. and were basically intensified opiate withdrawls, with some others thrown in.like "spiders under skin" to borrow your metaphor......and while technically I stopped it for a month....this summer....after 4 weeks of no use....I went back on it...about a week ago...
since withdrawls would not stop...
I am going to make another attempt.this winter after about a 4 month taper....

i wish you all the best! that is another reason i will not take it!
given to me for sleep yet it's for nerve pain...that was from a Dr at the UBC sleep clinic. the info they gave me was really hard to believe-telling me i kicked 500+ times during the night...but with my wife having a pain condition in her heels, how is possible if i kick that much, i haven't kicked her once in 9 years of her having the pain condition. he looked at me blankly so i asked what a kick was-movement from the knee down. i still don't buy into it. the wife has watched me sleep and said my feet twitch but that's far from a kick...and still didn't address what I came to see him for. I love Dr's...grrr
