Your clone #47 looked fabulous with the biochar addition ,
what percentage was that one ? Also could a percentage be added to your MOONSHINE MIX ? I'm planning some Lemon Venom on that mix . Speaking of which ( moonshine mix ) during your SUPERSOIL showdown , where the plants running on soil nutrients only ?
No additional feeding ? They were quite impressive.

Thanks bongsmilie

47 is a truly special plant in my stock. I'm still going threw a second round of testing genetics, but 47 is ALWAYS the first to show roots in a cloner, and finished 2 weeks faster then anything else I have.

I asked the guy who made the Biochar what's his activator. He said it's the same inoculant they use in gro-kashi... which appears to be EM-1 Microbial Innoculant.

I don't think it will hurt the moonshine mix at all. I don't have results from this test yet so I can't vouch for how it will work.

Wish I knew more about Bio-char. I didn't make it, I am just testing it for someone. He said, "I didn't charge it with "N" but with something else." That's all. He works for a soil company so he might not want to give away the whole recipe.

Nice vid @Superweedman. (great song aswell :) )

So if i add biochar to my soil mix then use a Lactobacillus culture in with my teas...this will activate it...?
depends on what you want to use it for, I LOVE biochar, think of it a solely a little condominium for your microbes.
You can "charge" it with nitrogen, or you can "inoculate" it with microbes.
Just don't want to throw it in your mix with nothing in it, it'll absorb all the nitrogen around it.
Sorta like people that use wood chunks in their mixes.
The most common charges that people like are alfalfa meal, or a simple urine tea.
Funny enough all the old-school homesteaders that I've spoke to, use urine.
Personally I used a dandelion and comfrey fermented tea. Worked perfect.
here is a closeup pic of biochar's little pores, got it from a homestead site (telling you guys, those crazy hippies are WAY ahead of most pot growers)

He musta charged with a N source or some other significant - charged ion. Why not N is beyond me.

This is what happens when a simple product tries to go commercial. If you don't introduce mystery, then why buy it?

Biochar is great. It's just to easy to make the worlds best all on your own.
