I am currently experimenting with seaweed meal, crab shell for cal-mag , azomite, distilled water and letting it sit for 2 to 3 weeks in a bottle shake every week and letting breathe would this be considered a tea or nutrient solution

same thing man, you are making a nutrient tea.
not sure how soluble the crab meal Is though, for cal/mag i'd use BSM or Epsom.
Don't know if azomite is soluble either.
I know the seaweed is useful like that though

I see what you are saying Big homie, I did read on the bag that a little bit of the magnesium is water soluble but calcium don't know, but I know the Azomite im using is water soluble. Im using Neptunes Harvest Crab shell , and the Azomite is it's own brand website is Azomite.com . Again I appreciate the feedback. And I wasn't aware you could use molasses for cal/mag I do have grandma's but have no idea how to use it in this application.

I love Neptune's Harvest. I use kelp and crabshell in my mix.

Usually, I have a bucket with some kelp and alfalfa meal soaking for nutrient tea.

Even with the crab shell in the mix, I still get what look like Cal and Mag deficiencies near the end of flower.

I've had success adding kelp meal and crab shell to EWC, wetting it, then letting that mixture sit around. When the crab shell is all broken broken down I top dress with this mixture. Not exactly the same as your tea, I know.

Molasses has some calcium and magnesium, but all I can find is percentages of R.D.A. for people, not actual content.
Bloom bat guano has some calcium. And they're both water soluble, but I've burnt plants using them. So I started using the kelp/crab top-dress. This has burn some plants too. I've had way better results with the "loaded EWC" topdress.

If you use powdered Azomite, that stuff is sorta water soluable, like Nestle Qwik powder.

I know there are also Crab Meal (not crab shell?) and Fish Meal. Maybe these meals are more water soluable, but good-lord, fish meal tea sounds stinky. I don't have any experience with that.

I've added more fish-bone meal and gypsum to my latest batch of soil, maybe these will get me through without the topdress in the future.

Gypsum and epsom salt? That's awesome. Cheap and easy!

Sulfur too! Isn't sulfur supposed to be good for flavor/smell or something?
U sparked my interest went looking for that post grease and found you can use Gypsum (calcium Sulfate) and Epsom salt magnesium sulfate) to make cal/mag. Add a little Kelp meal in there and we got Gold

Shit if you like that, check this out, I recently discovered that drywall (sheetrock) is essentially almost 100% gypsum.
Weird huh.
Some guy, I think form Australia, couldn't get the minerals he wanted, and gypsum was available as sheetrock, so he crumbled it in his soil mix.
pretty smart

Man if you can areate that solution you'll be way ahead of the game and have a way more active tea. It's worth the time when you have the opportunity.

add molasses @ a tablespoon a gallon to whatever it is you're cooking up to jumpstart the bacteria and fungi. You'll grow great bud without burning anything. The more air the better the tea
