why does it need to be stable? were you going to breed with it, or did you just want to know what your getting?

sour spyder is a cross between an F9 auto named spyder and Sour60 those are F1 so should be pretty uniform (but not necessarily stable)

I found Auto Ultimate to be stable but, under good conditions not so short. Mine were shorter this time because of an overabundance of rain and since they were outside, the wet soil stunted them, however, normally they grow fairly tall(40+ inches). Of all that I tried this year (Ultimate, auto lemon, auto haze , Fantasmo Express) the Ultimate thrived and from the final 2 Ultimates they were pretty much the same plant.

what light are you growing with? most autos can stay short. my tallest is 2 ft tall. as far as stable most autos are stable but i dont know in what terms you are looking for. another thing you can do is fim the auto before week 4. its not the the best thing to do since it may kill yield but will keep her short and allows you run autos that normally would be tall.

if i were you and had space i would get a strain that would be considered an xl plant and fim it...

get the cheapest seeds and run as many as possible...

THC BOMB - Pineapple Express are good yielding strains.
As far as stability as long as strains are not F1 generation seeds you be able to run just about any seed you want. The quality o f seeds have improved dramatically.

As far as FIM or Topping , DON'T .
AUTOS have a predetermined lifespan and do not have the " time " to recover from such techniques. Forget SUPERCROPPING or Mainlining these too . As far as height , They have an " Average " height between 20 - 24 " ( depending on strain ). Dwarf strains can hit 10" - 12" averages. Some " Super Autos " can grow pretty tall. You can LST autos to a degree.

They also don't respond too well to transplanting. You can plant germed seed into final pot size from the beginning. Autos can have different pheno characteristics from the SAME STRAIN. One can be bushy or one can be lanky , even from the same breeder stock.

But here is an important NOTE : Use no smaller than a 3 gallon / 5 gallon preferred , if you run say a 2 gallon. The taproot will bottom out very quickly and it will pre flower early.
I've seen autos preflower @day22 from seed because of a small container. It will cut yield dramatically then allowing the initial ( and short VEG STAGE ) to have the space it needs. The rootball often takes up only half the pot once flowering week4/5.

I have grown the fast and vast and my experience is they are all different. Some are bushy and somewhat short and then others are like 4 1/2 feet tall so I wouldn't go with that one if you want them to all be the same and to be small. Now one I'm just trying out and that have read a bunch of journals on is mephisto genetics sour crack. I can't speak on experience from those because mine is only about 2 weeks old but every journal I see on them the size and harvest dates of everyone growing them stays consistent.

tried lst on one of my plants and seems ok easy to do and notice a better bud production so was going to lst them anyways I would always recommend lst ive also topped autos aswell as long as there topped early they stay short and produce fatter budz and more compact tight buds
people say don't top autos cos of the time period I also tried this and found better results compared to not topping so everyone to there own or what works best for them

No I havnt had any that didn't flower. Your fast and vast is the best outdoor one I've seen so far though. Every thread I have seen with people growing them outdoors the didnt do well at all and were tiny. Maybee that has something to do with why yours is doing so well because it Isn't fully auto flowering on its own. Try like ugorg said and see if you can find a way to restric the light it's getting. If not you might as well just ride it out anyway and see what happens.
