Day 53

Orange hairs are predominant ,yet the trichs are still clear for the most part........

Not sure if the predominance of orange hairs is specific to this strain ,or did they turn like that because of increasing temps from last week?

Anyway ,the heat wave is gone ,hope that the weather will stay cooler until the end.........

White hairs still emerge every day ,and the calyxes haven't yet begun to swell......DSC08335.JPG

PS - the buds seem kinda leafy ,I don't know if it is specific to the strain ,or due to improper conditions (crammed grow space ,heat ,etc )

My main suspect is however ,the aquarium water I've been using ,because fish poo = Nitrates and Phosphates.

N= Vegetation ,so it might have stimulated more leaf growth. My tap water is already abundant in N. (about 20 ppm)

During my past grows ,I was actually using aquarium water until flowering really settled in ,then I would use R/O water ,PH'd ,and PK rich ,once every 2 waterings.
The past grows were in the cooler seasons also ,therefore I cannot really compare side by side.

For the next grow ,I will refrain from using aquarium water ,once flowering really kicks in.

Is my judgment correct? Would really appreciate some opinions ,guys........Thanx!

Looks good to me. Leafy/airy buds usually point to lack of light. Looks like you could get more CFLs in that space but would just be a matter of getting temps down at that point.

keep the updates coming!

when the weather was cooler ,I had at one point the 40 watter running alongside the actual 125w ,but as soon as hot weather hit us ,no chance.Maybe will try again in the fall ,when weather cools down again.I will ill also use a slightly bigger pot and LST ,keep more bud sites close to the light ,not just one main cola.Remains to see what strain will I do.

In general ,I didn't offer it what we may call Optimal Conditions as in lights ,temps ,soil volume ,or top notch nutrients. My main goal was to keep it healthy.

It has vegged with the help of fish poo from the aquarium water ,and I kept a low level of PK during flowering. For a noob like me ,I can say it's a rather forgiving strain.
Has stayed short and compact though ,and has produced a lot of resin.

We can clearly see how the plant is starving ,consuming its last resources. The pic is not the best ,but I hope you can notice the different discolorations..............
large leaves are most yellow ,then the smaller ones start to turn pale green ,maintaining the most dark green around the buds areas...DSC08404.JPG
I now water with plain distilled water from the supermarket. Not even PH'd in my case ,the runoff shows 6.8 ,which is also stated as the soil's buffer.
Now I don't have much experience with this kind of plant:D ,most of my knowledge comes from aquarium/submerged plants ,where CO2 plays one of the most important roles.

I might have not fed it enough PK when she was at her peak ,for fear I might burn her or something ,cause it's so small. The yield was not a main goal though.....

I definitely learned a thing or 2 during this grow ,hope it has helped others too.
See you around Chop Time!!!

I will say I have looked at a lot of grows using cfls (I use them as well) and people are packing them in from 250-650 watts...this maybe the best/biggest looking plant just under 125w well 165w at some parts...myself I am using right below 300....really good I deff want to know your dry weight:clap::clap::clap:

https://www.rollitup.org/Journal/Entry/my-first-grow-with-known-strains.31874/ .....my grow journal if you would like to follow and please send me any future grows I'd love to stay tuned8-)

Sadly I never weigh the fish I catch ,nor the weed I grow :) ,I do it all for fun ...............

I think that the main restriction was pot size(roughly 1g) ,while I could have used a larger one ,It is sitting on dvd's right now to be close to the CFL.

With CFL's ,I think the secret is to keep them as close as possible. My next grow I will LST ,whatever the strain....

I tried several times clicking on your link but it says"You do not have permission to view this or perform this action".....
