He says it didn't come with a diagram. he checked all the boxes and there wasn't any."Pressure tank", it's a tank (as the name suggests) that keeps water at pressure after it's been pumped up from the well. It's always located near the well head. Losing electricity is FUCKED because if you're on a well you have no water. I knowthat really sucks,...especially when it goes in mid winter
(My husband bought us a good generator earlier this year, and when we lost power for two days we still had water and enough electricity to run both refrigerators AND could shower, yay!)Yeah the neighbour has one of those and as soon as the power goes I hear it go on.
Didn't he get a wiring diagram for the unit when you bought it?
totally sucksThat's kinda fucked. They make it so that people can't DIY and are locked in to dealing with a certain company. I have a real hair across my ass about the company that drilled our well and how they charge. FUCK 'EM! I'm glad he figured out the wiring, plumbing is easy enough to sort out.
It sucks not having water.
I would think that you would hook anything up that needs pressure first without any and make sure you have it secure with washers, o-rings, etc. so it does not bust once it builds up - not sure though. That's my logical guess.
she should have fixed herself, eh? lol
Thought these may help out a bit......finger crossed for water
How It Works: Water Well Pump - Popular Mechanics
Plumbing in the Home: pressure tank & well, tire pressure gauge, bladder tank
Is the pump one of those pressure pumps with the pressure vessel on top?Alright!
Chicks RULE even if you don't know anything like me
No it is not the hot water tank.
That is new as of last year.
It is the water pressure thank from the well. We live in the country and are on well water.
The builder just did the bare minimum and didn't even use the proper fixtures so hubby has gone out and bought all new stuff.
The pressure seems to be ok and now he is saying that he thinks he has it. I hope so. He's quite the handy man. There hasn't been anything in this house that he hasn't been able to fix yet.
Thanks so much Florida chick.
Chicks ROCK!!!!
