My plants seem to be growing slow???

Hi there I'm just looking for some advice really tbh. I am currently growing 5 plants in my 1.2 x 1.2 x 1.8 mtr tent in my loft, 3 plants are ghsc exodus cheese and 2 buddah kush. The cheese plants are 16 days from seed and the kush are 10 days but all seem a little small for there age to me compared to a grow I done 6 years ago. I veged for 7 days using a 125w cfl and now I'm using a 600w sunmaster cool deluxe metal halide bulb dimmed down to 400w. Temps are between 69f and 86f depending on time of day. Plants are in 12 litre air pots in biobizz all mix soil.

12L pots and seedlings - they are fine. They are just spending their energy growing roots in those large pots.

Yeah, what he said above me, they look fine. Hell, my seedlings look smaller than that at that age. I personally have a fuck of time at that age of growth.

Hi NS, I would say(could be wrong) But they look fine to Me, Tbh I think its just a case of them finding their feet(12L Pot) will probably start Shooting up!! How far away do you have the light.. One other quick Question..didn't see,could've mist..are the Fems, Autos, Regs??

The light is about 10 inches away I did the hand test and all is fine I have a tower fan blowing on the plants and bulb. They are all femized seeds so you think they are just using there energy growing roots instead on growing upwards ?

They look normal for their age, I wouldn't worry. Be patient bro, they'll get their momentum going soon enough.

Yeah Pretty sure they are in Good Health and Good Hands by Look of the Pictures.. and you've got the Light Close and checked Heat Levels.. all Good really.. Just(another) Quick Question.. again may have missed.. How often and How much are You Watering the Gals..

I'm watering them untill about half a liter runs from bottom of pots and then not waterING again untill the pots are light in weight and bone dry, about every 4 or 5 days

Nice, are you going to keep them in the 12L until harvest?
I vegged for a month and a bit in a 14.5L pot with heavy training and honestly I wish I had a bigger one at this stage. I hope they don't go root bound if they aren't already at 3 weeks into flower!

I'm planning on just keep things simple not going to lst or top at all just plane old growing style. Ive managed to get 4oz per plant before by just keeping it single. I will be flowering with a 600w dual spec hps bulb on a digital ballast with super lumen feature

Not sure if I'm reading right.. But doubt they are Root bound in 12L pots and at that age/stage of Veg.. I grown Autos and Photo in 10L Pots for the whole grow and they've been fine.. Of course BiG Pots are a Plus.. Don't disagree with You on that.. Depends on Setup, Veg time, Space I mean no point using 18L + Pots for say a quick finishing Auto.. I mean You can, but tbh be a waste, but with a Photo and Long Veg period or Sativa then yeah give em more room to breathe. Hope you get what I mean.. LoL!! Baked

I think 12ltr pots should be fine as I don't plan on vegging to any more then 16" tall as I'm limited to 1.8mtr height and with the reflector about 1.4 mtr height

Sorry to hijack but if I may ask a quick question..
how long do you reckon is max time for veg in different sized pots?
I believe this one is 14.5L, vegged for 6.5-7.5 weeks and in week 3 of flower

Tbh I don't think any Set Rule, just preferences and well the Setup You have or Indeed just what's lying around the House in some Cases.. I did read in many Threads on lots different Forums that 1gal-4.5L for every month Month of Plants Life is "Norm" but again this doesn't account for many different Styles of Growing..

Those are mint bud, they got great internodes on the way. Some seedlings just grow straight up you have good genetics with that bunch.

Quick update it's now 18 days from seed for the cheese and 12 days for the kush. One of the kush plants is still playing catchup but I think it's due to the fact I damaged a few roots when transplanting to these 12ltr smart pots. Anyways whilst I was watering today I thought I would take a few pics of my setup and plants for you today.

They look nice starting out. If you think they look small its because you only vegged for 7 days.

They are still in veg 19hrs on/ 5 hrs off, and max temps I've hit is 93f and that was because we had a very hot day at the weekend. But now I've set the light to go off at 1pm and back on at 6pm so lights are off at hottest times of the day. I'm planning on vegging till about 16" and then switch to 12/12 with 600w hps.
