Well.. Hopefully

Here's the scoop, My wife has mentioned that I may choose to pitch her on having a small (smaller than last time.) closet grow. I have all the tools and knowledge to pull off the grow part, so here is what I need from my fellow peers..

I really need to knock this one out of the park as far as good reasons for her to say yes to my plan without many changes. (Of course I will be willing to make any changes that are necessary to bring home the win.)

I have a closet that I have described to her as the chosen spot, venting into the attic.

I am going to build a flower cab that is 63" tall, 25" deep, and 30" wide.
The veg and rooting cabs will be one cab, split like an oldschool fridge, clones and seedlings on top, veggers on bottom.
The veg cab will be 63" tall, 25" deep, and 26" wide, with the rooting portion roughly 23" tall and the veg chamber with the remaining 40"

The lighting will all be DIY cob style lighting, I have the bloom light setup and working properly, I still need to construct the veg/rooting lights and of course build the cabs.(If I get the go-ahead)

Anyway, thanks for stopping in and giving me your ideas/excuses/honeydos/whatever anything that will help me tip her over the green fence!

Oh and I would love to focus on reasons to keep the setup this size and with the 3 chambers so I can run it the exact way that I like, which allows for perpetual blooming and most importantly, variety (to me anyway.)

Hey man welcome back.
Sounds like a good plan and hopefully you can get it going sooner than later.
Not sure you have considered it but if you havent made the cabinet yet or its possible i would put the clones and seedlings on the bottom. I had mine above and because heat rises i had a bitch of a time keeping the babies at a consistent temp.
Also i would suggest adding an extra fan in and out to help keep things consistent. Better to have fans that u dont need or use all the time then to be needing them and having to modify shit while its full of goodness.

Is the noise from the fans gonna be a problem? might want to consider some kind of noise muffling material in case you have company over or something because my fans are a pretty bad giveaway lol.

Speed controllers and even a cheap thermostat are almost a must for stealth. Shouldnt be to bad but a muffler wouldnt be to difficult to build.

Yeah imo a sleepingbag/blankey bungied around where the fan meets the ducting can reduce the noise better than a duct muffler in some cases. Just something to think about, people almost always consder smell but not noise from taking care of the smell lol.

My one buddies basement sounds like your on an airplane runway.
You can hear his room from the neighbours driveway.
He built ducting out of pink panther stiff insulation and now u cant hear jack. Its amazing tho the things people dont think of before these projects.

First on the list is to let go of a few of the 4" and 6" can fans I have and get one of the Hyper Fan Stealth 8" and definitely build a homemade muffler as well. Thanks for all the good points fellas, I love being so close to getting things running again. It's going to be fun with sucha small space. Basically auto pilot with the blumats and homemade compost, once it's all built and IF I get the go ahead that is..

I also have a few controllers as well, insulation and ducting accessories galore. Before the Kiddo came I did Hydro in a basement. Still have a couple ebb/flow controller buckets, oodles of hose and the pots, and several 55gal drums, pumps, etc. etc. in the storage unit. After all of that equipment purchased, the homemade vinyl fence post ebb/flow unit blew all the others away. Cheapest thing too... Still learning everyday that is for damn sure.

I've just been doing this my whole life, and transitioning from a huge op slowly to a closet has been a challenge for me. I Haven't grown for 8 months, and its the first time since I started my first one around a decade ago. I had one in the shed and I thought it was small but she thought otherwise. She's just under the typical mindset, fear of getting caught. I just want to do it for myself to ensure the quality and organic nature of the product stay in tact.

I think u made the right choice goin led too. If i could shake up the cash to build some cobs id love to go that route too.
My cab is similar in size to what your planning and i have a real bitch of a time cooling it.

What strains you planning to run in it or have you not gotten that far yet?

The first reg run will include a Bodhi selection or two and KOS' Dark Matter cause I hear shes a yielder.
After the first couple of runs I want to shift focus from yield to variety and dankness. Flavor is huge for me.
