A question about inducing flowering

I recently posted this thread https://www.rollitup.org/t/a-question-about-a-certain-female-plant.879764/
Where I asked why my plant won't start flowering, and the answer I got was that I needed 12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of darkness. My question is this- do I need 12 hours of continuous darkness? My problem is that sunrise is at 6:00 AM and sunset is at 19:30, meaning I need to be home at 18:00 to get the plant out of the sunlight, but I am at work during this time. And I really don't wanna get up early to put the plant into the sunlight since I'll be tired at work.. my question is, can I hide the plant in my closet for 1:30 hours during the day? Is that enough? Or do I need 12 hours uninterrupted darkness

12 hours is the best, although you can go slightly longer, but few risk it, and with good reason.
You're going to have to work some way out off clipping an hour daylight. The sun may go down after 13.5 hours, but it's still light for another hour, so that's 14.5 hours of daylight
How long until the days get shorter?

I don't think you quite got my question- I am asking if I need 12 hours of continuous darkness or is it ok if there is a break in the middle

Have you thought about just leaving plant indoors/covered or whatever until 8am`ish? then you have roughly 12hrs until it gets dark again etc

See thats the problem, I work during the night and sleep during the day. I only get up around 11 AM and go to work at 2 PM, so I cant get up early enough to cover the plant and I am not home before sundown. That is why I am asking if I can cover the plant for about 2 hours before I go to work and it will be sufficient

Might be the time to consider getting up an hour earlier at around 10 instead of 11, whack your plant ouside when you first get up then it should have around 10`ish hrs of light which should mean it will flower quicker than on 12/12 but the yield will be less

Or maybe move the grow indoors if you can?

I see your problem but if you break up the 12 hours of darkness it wont flower man, sadly there is no reasoning with nature and no matter how tired you are your plants dont care and they wont make any exceptions. Looks like you gotta be getting up at 7:30 to put them out in the sun if you want 12/12 otherwise you could just do what sworth says and put them out at 11 which would cause them to flower but less light means less energy going into building your buds. If I were you id just get up at 7:30 go put your plants out then go back to bed, its not too bad.
