4 Impacted wisdom teeth

I have 4 impacted wisdom teeth that are gonna get taken out in a couple of days. Just wondering has anyone else already had that done. Does it hurt alot?
I've already started to amass bud to get me through what i imagine will be an agonizing week of pain.

Not really. I had a general anesthetic, one hypocodone (vicodin) tablet six hours or so after waking up. Spent the day on the couch listening to a cd of didgeridoo music on repeat. Didn't need anything else. Don't sweat it.

Now hemorrhoid surgery, that's a painful recovery... (so I've heard)

it fricking sucks, when i had mine out it hurt constantly all the time and at night i had to use a injector thingy to shoot water into the holes where my teeth were to wash food particles out. SMOKE LOTS OF GREEN!

hahai woke up n tried to walk out cuz i didnt kno where i was LOL a bunch of the aides came n put me back in the room i was in. but that laughing gas was great... high as hell laughing the whole way home. my face was real puffy too.

but after that having bloody holes at the back of your mouth sucks.
they tell you not to smoke for a week to avoid "dry socket"

i smoked and drank.. not that first week after tho.. my mouth hurt too much. but i didnt have any problems

I had the same deal, it hurt like a bitch after I was back to normal... Didn't smoke as it's really bad to smoke anything (weed, cigs, whatever) with an open wound in your mouth, just a bad idea, will make it take longer to heal, hurt more, etc.

what does someone who smokes and plays trumpet all the time do when they can no longer smoke or play trumpet?

Just keep yourself occupied with other shit... Create a list of movies you want to see and rent 'em, download some new tunes, grab some magazines, yadda yadda.

i smoked and drank.. not that first week after tho.. my mouth hurt too much. but i didnt have any problems

me too thats why i said "they" will tell you not too.
but i have known a few people to get dry sockets but i think all of them were people who didn't smoke.

Don't smoke, stay away from crunchy food, and rinse your mouth with warm, mild saline solution (say 1/8th teaspoon of salt dissolved in a pint of water) once or twice an hour. You'll be fine.
