I think it CAN be done- and considering the incentives involved, I'm a little surprised it hasn't been done by more people.
I'd like to see some in depth discussion about your time saving techniques. As a full manual RDWC grower, I can certainly see the benefits of automating the feeding system for example.
My trim pro saves me a lot of time. It's pretty much an electric bowl trimmer. Takes around 2-3 hours to trim a pound. Since I grow SOG, I harvest each plant, strip it of the fan leaves and it hangs on a rack until it's trimmed. Takes about 30-60 seconds per plant. 25 plants per light. So roughly 6-8 hours to take down the entire room. Then it hangs for the time it takes for me to get it through the trimmer. It takes me 3 18 hour days to do all the trimming.
The automatic watering system is a godsend. I have not measured nutrients nor ph the entire time. My doser does it for me. The Rez empties 100 percent with each watering, float valve refills it while the doser does the nutrients and ph.
Cloning, well no secrets or shortcuts to that, other than just doing it. Only takes me a few hours to take a couple hundred clones.
I have a forklift to move plants from room to room. Load up a pallet, drive down 25 plants at a time to new room. Repeat until done.
Anyone with a work ethic and a standard operating procedure can do it.
