I have grown quite a few times just never on a large scale. I always used cfls because i happened to have them already on hand.

Anyway i just went to the store and saw some HPS and metal halide "security lights" they came with 70watt bulbs. They are meant to be wired like a outdoor fixture and im trying to figure out how to make that work in a small grow box. I am thinking a side by side from clone equal watt experiment would be intresting. 3 boxes, one clone each and one MH, the second HPS, the third 70w CFL.

The lights are 30$ a peice.

Easy. Open it up, take out or unhook the photo sensor, wire it so it has a good cord on it so you can plug it in.

unrooted clones under 70w of light would probable kill them, rooted clone would be ok

just be careful, out door lights are designed for cool night air and may overheat in a hot grow room

Well, they arent too healthy. Some of the leaves are curling. Thats not a good way to describe it so ill post a pic to show.

I just moved another one outside. I put it in a manure/humus mix and put a liquid fence animal repellent around it.

The other two i placed outside are pretty much lost causes. One just seems to not want to grow, the other keeps becoming somethings lunch.

Although the growth is very slow the plants are all growing as expected. The LST has proven effective at getting branches to grow. All the vertical plants have almost no side growth.

The plants don't look stretched mate and lack of side shoots could be down to the strain and the size.
some plants when there small only grow a single cola and grow without side shoots

often growers grow these in a SOG

I am actually impressed with them. It makes me wonder about the genes.

The one i just moved outside with the manure i expect will expect will have a nice burst in growth. It will get more direct sun than the others i put outside.

lookes like a streched indica strain (indica leaves) with thick green stem with a little sativa strech between the nodes

I would definitely say its a indica/sativa Hybrid


never grown weed outside but I would think the plants need direct sun light for at least 6 hours a day to pull a good yeild or there just going to strech and the results are not going to be great

This will get direct sun for at least 9 hours. Im hoping it flowers quick. Its definitely hearty. Probably has some solid indica genes. Never grew or seen white Russian but its impossible to tell what strain it is.

Seeds were from a heavily seeded QP my friend bought. Im guessing someone had a hearty high yeilding indica to use as a cash crop and didn't kill the males. The genes might be pretty sweet. In my experience bagseed is often great weed just wasn't grown right.

Most side branches will become clones. Once they show sex they are getting cloned, the clones will be given proper care and ill get to see the diffrence in how the growing conditions effected the bud.

white Russian is a Indica-dominant hybrid cash crop strain with a India knock out stone
there a lot of strains like this and your right its impossible to tell what strain it is but you can get a good ideal by looking at the plant

sounds like a good test to see the difference between the ones looked after and this crop

Well, here is the update for the outdoor plants.

The first one has been eating. Seems like it gets one big bite taken out of it every day. It is completely stunted. No sign of growth. Im just letting it go and nature will take its course.

The second plant is small, but doing well. It also had a bite taken out aside from that bite it seems quite healthy. I put liquid fence around it and the bites stopped. It still shows no signs of flower, and the clock is ticking. I have about 1 month until frost is a concern.

And last but not least, this plant is doing very well. It was just moved outside (if its a girl i may bring it back in) and was planted in a manure humus mix, along with the dirt that was already there. Im hoping for signs of sex soon. I also put liquid fence around this plant. No animals have disturbed it so far. Im hoping it isnt shocked to much by the new environment, but fuck it.

All of the plants are quite small.

Sorry this pic failed before. Anyway, this plant is the 3rd one. In manure and humus.

I fimmed before i moved it outside and its working on 4 new tops. I will not take anything else off this plant except maybe clones if its a she.

My phone is taking forever to upload pics. I wanna get a detailed update of the remaining 6 indoor plants.

Anyway, in the beginning of this thread i got a lot of hate. Im quite proud of the plants. Many of them are slowly working on new side branches, the lsted plants are doing especially well. Ive even defoiliated some to allow more light to new growth and its been working very well.

I clone under an 80w hps every time.
Rarely do they fail.

only saying that because there no air flow in a propagator so the heat builds up quick and have kill my cutting in the passed

a single t5 tube works really well and gave me great results.

That's how people grow weed in my country... It's very risky to grow it indoors, so people just put seeds somewhere people can't seen, police can't see and once in a week or maybe once in 2 weeks just go and give water. They grow pretty good in wild
