First Grow 4x4x6.5 600w

I'm starting my first grow in a 4x4x6.5 grow tent with reflective mylar, a 600w hps light, and a fan (not sure of the exact strength). I'm planning on buying 5-6 clones and transplanting them into 5 gallon pots using fox farm ocean forest organic soil and blue planet nutrients. I'm planning on doing some sort of training and topping, either ScroG or LST with string and rubber band. My questions for you guys are..

1. Is 5-6 a good amount of plants for this setup?
2. Should I grow all the same strains or different strains?
3. When should I start LST or ScroG and at what height should i try and keep the canopy?
4. What type of training would be best for this setup, ScroG or LST?
5. What types of strains would give me the best yield in this setup?
6. How long should I veg and flower the clones for? Is 4-6 weeks for each period generally a good amount of time?

Thank you for taking the time to read this post, any wisdom on any of these questions or my setup or any other useful advice is much appreciated :bigjoint:

1. yes
2. yes
3. lst can start as soon as she's big enough to handle. I Scrog at the start at flower.
4. your choice. Or both.
5. your choice
6. 4-6 weeks should be okay. (A finished plant will be about twice the size she was when starting flower)

It's cool that you're starting with a nice setup. Most of us start wiith 1 plant and a few cfl's in a computer cabinet :)

My thoughts..
Go with LST. It's easier to manage each plant. For beginners you want to be able to take your plants out of tent to deal with the challenges you will encounter.
Also LST will allow you to grow different strains. If you scrog a 7 week finisher and a 12 week finisher your life will be complicated.

You want medium height plants.. 3-5 gallon pots should work fine. I use 3 gallons and have 4 plants in a 3x3 so you might as well do six plants to pack the tent.

It's tough to beat Northern Light or White Widow for ease of growth. I have grown NL x Big Bud a bunch of times. Pretty easy. Remember that Sativas will take a long time to finish so maybe stick with the indica dominants.

Shop Herbies and it will tell you expected yield. Anything called big bud or critical yields well. I have a Critical Jack that is real nice. Super Skunk is good to grow, but a little finicky. Finishes really fast though. NL x Big Bud would be my top pick for yield and ease of growth and finish time.
