Arby’s said it has apologized to Florida's Pembroke Pines Police Department after an employee at one of the fast-food chain's locations allegedly refused to serve one of the department's police officers.

Pembroke Pines police says one of their officers was initially refused service at an Arby’s location in town on Tuesday evening when trying to order food at the restaurant’s drive-thru. The officer was in uniform and in a police vehicle, according to a police report filed on the incident.

The drive-thru clerk, who was identified as Kenneth Davenport, 19, sounded "short" with the officer when he or she was ordering, the police report says. Police would not divulge the name of the complaining officer.

When the officer drove to the pickup window, the store manager, Angel Mirabel, told the officer that the clerk "doesn't want to serve you because you are a police officer." Mirabel had to order Davenport to process the officer's credit card.

The officer expressed displeasure and concern about the safety of the food to the manager. Mirabel also allegedly told the officer that the clerk "has the right to refuse to serve" you.

The officer felt "uncertain" about the safety of the food and was given a refund.

about a month ago they started issuing refunds without receipt via card with 20 minute timer..now sky could smell some rotten shit..something is definitely up..but what?..why the 20 minutes?

i did a paper last semester for my sociology class on the homeless..so i started to chill with..much like the overnight that prince william did years ago in order to understand what it is they go through, the discrimination of being 'keyless'.

it's the bus schedule..it runs every 15 minutes. if they issue a card that is not valid for 20 minutes they are purposely excluding a group of peoples. everyone who rides the bus. and just who is that? everyone in my thread title.

this is so 14th something, something..talking to my attorney today..as soon as he heard who the company was that did this? the potential is..his firm will move from the lowly 7th floor to the penthouse with name on the building..attorneys love this so in america..they don't care about cock size..it's all about what floor you're on/penthouse/name on building..your 'downtown presence'.

I don't mean to question your version of events, but is it not possible that the store simply set the 20 mins thing to encourage people to buy shit while they're waiting?

I know when I worked retail that 90% of the offers, promotions, etc were just to get people in the door in the first place.
