My guess would be about 9 months from start to finish if you want a clone to yield a pound. However, weather, location, nutrient line, pH, temperature, humidity, and attention to detail can save you a couple extra months if you are on top of your game.

I would say that if you are doing a light deprivation grow, but on a large scale to handle a plant with a 30 gallon planter.. you could shave a few months by pampering the ladies. Indoor h.i.d. vegetative with light deprivation and then plants going outside to flower while returning to a warm and dry area while they sleep.
That's when your plant is wilting really bad and you post to RIU asking what to do about it.
Haha! When doing a outdoor light deprivation you are playing a dangerous game. You can come out with fire.. or you can only get shwag at best. If you keep your root temperature under control your chances of success greatly increase. I was thinking about making barriers to block sun from hitting my planters for next year. Should make a good video.

I would think 5 months would work. The plants would have to pretty much be in a dialed in garden to push a pound per plant in 5 months. Not saying it couldn't be done.. but would be a challenge I would love to undertake if I had a forklift for my plants.. j/k

In a 5 month schedule, I would think they would be planted in the beginning of May inside, put outside in it's permanent planter the beginning of June then force flowered from mid-July through beginning of October. 9 months would most likely be 2 or 3 months of prepping the garden out.
grow something vigorous instead of OG bagseed, it will only take just over 3 months (hydro) from rooted clone 5 weeks veg 8-9 weeks flower
If the goal were to finish quickly, that might sound attractive. Since I have plenty of plants in every stage, I can afford to take my time. Nothing wrong with my strains or their vigor, either.

Return on investment would be greater with outdoor. I usually yield at least a quarter pound per plant on my good performers on my light dep runs using 5-gallon buckets..
