A grow for science!!!! Yard dirt and tap water!!

Okay well here is the jist of everything. The two plants left were both from bagseed, and grown under 60 watts cfl without any nutes and in dirt from my yard.

One has been LSTed and has a very even canopy. 4 main colas and looks very healthy.

The other (confirmed female) has very little branching. It was bent ove once to prevent it from getting too tall but then i decided to let it rock. I will try to bend it more to allow light to hit the other branches.

Keep in mind, the yeild on this grow will only be a few grams. These plants are like bonsai trees.

So here is a cab pic from just now. As you can see they are all doing well. Growing slow and steady. The tallest of the bunch is in the smallest pot. Im amazed by the fact that they aren't struggling with rootboundness.

I put my hand behind it to show a size reference. I haven't measured it but its in a 4 inch pot.

what are you gonna do when high school is back in session and they haven't finished?

The branches on the confirmed girl are all quite small. Im worried that if i clip one and it doesn't root that i will have fucked up my only decent plant and the whole grow is shot.

Its longest branch is the size of my thumb

So i just read a thread on water cloning and gave it a shot. I took the small branch from the bottom as the cutting. Will keep posted on what happens

So im really pumped that the second plant showed she is a she. Going to go buy some rooting gel Thursday and cloning her. Im Going to take the smaller branches that are growing instead of any of the 4 main tops.

For the next phase the goal is to make as much use out of the lights as possible. The inside of the cab was coated with polyurethane already to make the light reflect. Im going to move the lights around in the cab tomorrow to make sure they get the most use out of them.

Well... The hairs are popping up all over. They are now on almost on every top.

Got some minor burns moving lights around, but shit happens.

Stopped by a hydroponics store and picked up some cloning gel. Im going to attempt to clone directly in soil. The cuttings im taking will be VERY small, some under 2". Since the plant is already in early flowering, and the pots take up too much room in my cab, i will keep the clones in a homemade humidity dome (more like a rubber made container with a makeshift clear lid) these plants will also be in the same soil as my current grow, but will be given nutes throughout their entire life. I will go through this thread and count the days from sprout to the day i flipped the lights, and the clones will get the same amount of veg time.

Now is where this will get intresting, how much better will the clones perform, with a full nute regiment?

Ill be using General Hydroponics Floroduo part A and B.
