So if a triploid is something with 3 sets of chromosomes and a trifoliate is something with 3 leaflets then what IS the correct term for a 3 BRANCHED plant??

What's this mean 3 fan leaves on one node with 3 bud site???

The plant i have flowering now's branches have the same thing, all it means for you is 3 bud sites instead of 2, which is good brother! (In my opinion at least, i think its cool) I don't see any real huge advantages but there are 3 buds growing on each node so there's no disadvantages i guess. Harvesting soon so I'll see if the 3 ones yield better than the others n let ya know! Happy growing man!

Polyploid i think.

Clone it just in case it is
  1. -ploid. Having or being a number of chromosomes that has a specified relationship to, or is a multiple of, the basic number of chromosomes of a group: heteroploid.

Any word (polyploid, diploid, triploid) that ends in -ploid is talking about genetic characteristics, not physical characteristics.

I don't think there is a specific term for a 3 branched plant, it is just a phenotypic expression or mutation

Right trifoliate only applies to leaf shape I guess, so apparently there is no term that applies to node/branch number.

You should maybe read/skim posts, especially the more recent ones. Polyploidy has to do with sets of chromosomes. Plants don't necessarily express how many sets of chromosomes they have by the number of nodes they grow at each junction.

Damn you have an ego.

I did read/skim the thread, actually pretty well. Sorry that I missed the 2 words in the thread that were polyploid, including the one that was in a quote.

I said clone it just in case, not clone it because it is.

Maybe you should read my post or at least skim it before sounding like an ass

^This is a perfect examble of how to not be an ass.

I love how my ego shines right through my posts and burns a hole in everyone's ass. I'm sure you can hear the tone of my voice, too.

Now, I obviously read your post, having responded to it and all. Seriously though half this thread is talking about the definition of polyploidy. Just sayin. Get over yourself.

"Polyploid cells and organisms are those containing more than two paired (homologous) sets of chromosomes."

"Triploid: (of a cell or nucleus) containing three homologous sets of chromosomes."

Actually half this thread is discussing Tripolids. More than two =/= three. It CAN but it doesnt always.

Just sayin.

Triploid was stated time and time and TIME again, polyploid was stated once and quoted once.

Maybe you should read the thread before telling me to read the thread?

Please refer to my post explaining how one corrected me without being an ass. Get off your damn high horse man you could have done better

Triploid/polyploidy has to due with # of chromosomes. I believe the correct term is trifoliate.

Most likely not caused by any nutrient/additive.
no trifoliate is to do with amount of leaflets, its a triploid....

I'm so terribly sorry you couldn't make the connection there, all by your wittle undereducamated self. Christ I picked the wrong day to quit smoking. Keep being a little bitch just because I suggested you read posts better, though.

Can't wait to see what meaningless bullshit you have to say next.
