Need your harvest opinions

This is my first grow, and currently I have 1- NYC DIESEL 3 - THAI SKUNK and 1- ISLAND SWEET SKUNK.
The NYC DIESEL looks to be ready, or close to harvest. I examined Trichomes, and most are cloudy. A few a half clear, and half cloudy. Also, I spotted a few turning an Amber color. Should I start the harvest process now? I'll post a picture.20150906_093854.jpg

Wait until the trichs are mostly clear. A few will always die off and turn amber. A few more days. Cut the light back to 8 hours if you want it a bit more potent. Patience, young skywalker. She looks great!

Any facts on cutting the light to 8 hours to boost potiency? No arguments here, just curious. Thanks

Look up the threads on prolonged darkness prior to harvest. I learned the trick here myself. And I am a retired nurse. I never mind people asking for confirmation or more from the actual source etc. It's in the way we say things sometimes. I'll look back a few years.

Look at it this way while I am searching for the thread - outside after the daylight hours hit 12 and begin shortening light is the trigger for pot to flower and finish! As the days get shorter the pot finishes quicker. We leave the lights on to keep the THC production up.

"Lowering the humidity in the room on that last night before harvest morning will ensure increased resin production, without having to let the medium go bone-dry first. Additionally, some growers like to subject their gardens to prolonged dark periods of up to 24 hours just before cutting, claiming they notice spikes in resin production. This is all right as the low humidity will cut down on light uptake anyway, plus it helps to make sure liquid foods within the plants drain down to the root zone." from High Times and the link is below.

Who knows? I can't even hook up to subcool's original recipe for his soil. RIU has gotten so huge.

They are generally milky. Then mostly clear. THEN they die off in large numbers turning amber in LARGE NUMBERS. A few always will be amber from the frigging start. If you pull with the first amber without waiting for most to be clear you are cheating yourself.

Backwards Hotrod, they need to be all cloudy! I like about 15 - 20% amber to harvest....

Another Canna MYTH.....Extended dark periods before harvest do NOT increase tric's or terp's.....

Thanks guys, I appreciate all the input. I think that's what make harvesting so nerve wrecking because all the info on the web is different, and everyone has their own preferences. I had some free seeds that I grew small plants and harvested them but they don't really smell or look awesome. The NYC Diesel looks fricken amazing and smells fucking awesome. Just touching the stem leaves a fruity stench on my hands. I just want to get it right, but I'm sure all of you know that feeling. Thanks again.

You know, I misstated that......5-10% and as it dries they keep maturing and end up 15-20%.....My patients like that - me too.

Sativa's get it earlier.

bro...how long did u let that baby go?? what size light...mine looks dam ready at 65 days....small yield,but buds are hard as rocks,,stink too...lol
