Is this nute burn? humidity problem? or heat issue?

28th day from seedling here, using LED
foxfarms ocean forest soil, used 2tsp grow big to 1 gallon of water(I think this is nute burn)???
My theory: foxfarms has enough nutes in soil and adding the "grow big" is over kill. Maybe?
Maybe I over watered the plants?
Most of the leaves are getting like this on the bottom stems. This is the first time I plucked any leaves to clean them up.

All other leaves are green and look great especially the tops.

Phos deficiency no nute burn

Nute burn is with reddish edges and leaves hook and lockout occurs.

Phos def starts with yellowing tips that turn brown and crispy.

havent seen the plant but looking at them leaves you are locked out,humic fulvic root drench will fix it,drench stimulates roots and adjust your ph

I use soil, should I need to worry about PH? I thought that was only with hydro? I am running fox farms ocean floor.

Ya you should still worry about ph, if its at the wrong ph point it will lockout micronurients

i bubble my tap water for 24 hrs and use it,comes out of the tap at 8.5 and after bubbling its 9 to 9.5 in other words i have shit for water ,have pulled my hair out for over a year worrying and fucking with it,just gave up and have been using it after bubbling on this grow and havent had any issues,i also use a super soil mix from kelp4less,so if phing is so important for soil how would this senireo be explained,THE SOIL BUFFERS THE PH WHEN ADDING FEED OR WATER ,this i know from my experiences,so we all can debate the issues as i have for quite some time and its still going to come out the same way,soil buffers what you add

Screw pH in soil. And pH tapwater to check? If humans are drinking it and not keeling over no plant will. "Check your runoff pH!" Hell no! What a waste of time in nearly every case. Pot lives and thrives in the wild. Because we aren't helping it. Try not to help too much.

Have a read of this page. The soil you are using is recommended by them so that's good, but it also contains a mention in the FAQ section of that page saying that it is a "hot" soil so even more conclusive evidence of nute burn. You should have been giving it plain tap water only for at least a month and waited for cues from the plants to decide when to start adding your own fertilizer. Some soils you can do almost the entire grow with plain water only.

I agree with hotrodharley too. If your growing in a good quality soil and your tap water isnt horrendous then you dont need to worry about that. Quality soils are designed to maintain a stable pH even if the water going in isn't quite in the optimal range so throw out your ph tester kit, you dont need that shit. I fucked up one of my first grows because i was constantly worried about pH and adjusting the water before watering. Over time all the constant pH up/down i was adding ruined the balance of my soil and i was powerless to stop my late flowering plants from spending their last couple of weeks suffering nute lockout.

Have a read of their grow guides because there is excellent information in there. Look at their galleries, they clearly know how to grow pot.

i agree with hotrod,all of it is a waste of time and will give you a headache,you never know what will come out the bottom of that pot,depending on what the plant useing at the time,you would be flushing that bitch daily if you went by what comes out that pot

hotrod,if your watering with hard water your plant can very well flat out die or grow terribly. Yeah you may be right with not ph'ing with soil because of the buffer that's in the soil but it doesn't hurt to ph it.

I never said water with hard water. Know your source before you start. That is basic chemistry. He's inexperienced enough to ask. KISS. These newer growers get over concerned about trivial facts and it muddles the mind. But people write "I watered with a pH of 5.5 and my runoff was 6.7! Whatever shall I do?"

Stop checking the fucking runoff and learn to read the plant!

I dont worry and havent worried about ph because i have good ph balanced soil and it works as a buffer. Foxfarm ocean forest is strong and i used to delute it with.light warrior at about half and half and later i began using sunshine mix which i greatly preferred. Make sure if u use tap water to dechlorinate iy byl etting iy sit.

Ur issue looks like nute burn and ir rite is prolly cuz.the soil is strong. I dont evem veg.in ocean forest. Actually i dont evem.use it any.more but i had issues vegging with it just like u.

But i havr never had a ph issue with good balanced soil. Idk why ppl think ph is a issue in soil. It is in soiless, like moslty peat coco coir mixes. But soil ive never seen it as a ph issue.
